Why do you put today’s date when it was in the 1980s?
Sometimes the original date is contextually important
Their website reposts a set of random old comics which is reposted here every day.
If you didn’t know… they aren’t making new ones.
Larson has restarted publishing new Far Side comics, albeit very infrequently. The last appeared to have been posted several months ago.
He does make new ones occasionally. There is a section for his new stuff. None of it is on a schedule tho.
Huh looks like he made a few start of pandemic and stopped again:

I think having it in the post body would be helpful.
I found these to be a bit offbeat until I read a comment a week or so ago describing these comics as “boomer absurdism” and amazingly those two words gave me something to grab onto to find the humor in the weirder ones. That’s the what made it click for me. A date would help too.
It’s in the comic itself, look in the corner.
And today’s date is in the Lemmy post. And whatever I use when I ask “hey, what’s today’s date?” - doesn’t really add much to put it in the title.
It’s the date that’s posted on the original source.
Yeah lol this is a funny joke but the way he draws black people isn’t exactly PC these days
I also always hide my VCR, when the anthropologists arrive.
