Casually ableist content creators say it for content.

I think more often than not it’s more important to be early rather than being exactly the first. Unless you patent it in a way that makes it extremely hard to copy but software doesn’t really work that way a lot of times. Being first barely seems to give you any advantage long term. You just want to be early enough before the network effect takes hold, for example.

Yeah but they stopped being consistent with the “doing it right” part a long time ago.

A four hour documentary about the guy’s life sounds like a summary of all the video essays I’ve watched about him over the years. I doubt it will bring up anything I didn’t know already. Anyone trying to educate people about psychopathic billionaires has my support but I fear this will criticize the person rather than the system that enabled him.

The way this really short notice reads makes me think the former since they will provide box art downloads to print them yourself.

The only real difference between this type of advertising and running an ad on a website is that you can avoid the former extremely easily while actively having to block the latter if you take a single step out of federated territory. Besides, the game itself is already trademarked so yeah bit late for keeping that out.

Sadly that seems to be the case but maybe they’ll come around and work together in their shared hatred for big tech eventually. Maybe this lesson can teach us to be more considerate towards each other as a society.

AI divided us like few things before. Musicians cry out because AI steals their music while using AI generated backdrop animations on their tours and academics use ChatGPT to summarize things but become outraged when their work is fed into the machine. Lets hope tech bro audacity will unite us against them the same way they divided us.

Accuracy is meaningless when it doesn’t do it’s job. The job of showing where stuff is. Stuff on land, mind you.

I don’t recall mentioning perfect spheres anywhere and any 10 year old phone can easily display a simple, interactive globe no problem. We’re not talking about Google earth here. Just a map projected on an actual earth shaped object. You don’t need shaders or anything. Hell you don’t even need a single vertex. You could create it mathematically.

Why not just make the official map a globe? We’re in the digital age ffs.

That’s actually a pretty cool map, however I really don’t like how the focal point is on an empty blue mass, making it rather impractical. It’s also rather disorienting on the southern side. I don’t think this should be adopted at all. Cool nonetheless.
