Hemorrhoids are fucked yo. I’ve been waiting months for a surgery referral for a painful injury I’ve had for months and months now. Between this and my bottom dysphoria, I feel like a fucking mermaid girlfriend for how much it’s killed my sex life. I so wish I could just walk into a clinic or something to get this shit fixed but instead I guess I’ll be celibate and in daily pain until my doctor and insurance company figure out WTF they are doing.
It makes me feel so gross and inadequate and I worry that I’m missing some essential step to getting it fixed. Doc said she put in a referral and now I should wait for insurance to pick a butt doctor for me, but I’m still waiting

5·8 days agoI care about human animals too and think we should focus our efforts on things that help non-human animals without hurting the human ones.
Defanging the snake is bad. Also, we have killed over 40.5 billion animals for food this year in the United States alone. I kinda care more about one than the other.

The only thing keeping me sane is the knowledge that there are enough nuke nerds and sensors out there that I don’t imagine there would be any ambiguity if one actually went off.
11·8 days agoI got health problems after being vegan but then I just did a little research on what I might be missing and how to fix my diet up (holy shit I needed more iron) and now I feel great. It’s actually pretty easy and most “health issue” carnists are being babies.
Reinstalled Subnautica with a bunch of mods.
So I have this really severe phobia of baleen whales, have all my life. I turn into a crying snotty mess, it’s bad. It’s even happened a few times scrolling on this site! (People post funny memes that my lizard brain takes as a threat).
My bf was surprised to see me installing this. Had to explain that it’s only regular underwater scary, and that nothing in the game could be nearly as bad as a a typical “inspirational” image of our irl sea monsters.

Electrolysis clinic sent me an email saying I came up on the waitlist. I emailed about that over two years ago.

My problem was developing really severe lactose intolerance as an adult, not knowing what the problem was, and making the problem worse for months before I figured out what was wrong and went vegan. Now I don’t have the original dietary issue, but I’ve been in near daily pain ever since and tried basically everything short of surgery - sometimes I’ll have relief for a day or two if I’m extremely careful about what I eat and do (no alcohol, no sitting for more than a couple hours at a time, no walking too much either) but the issue always comes back.
It’s gone on long enough to have pretty severe impact on my self-esteem, and being a mermaid girlfriend who can’t have sex has been fucking fantastic for my relationship.
It would be nice if I had any clue how long it will take for me to see a doctor about it. My primary care provider didn’t have any estimates, just said my butt looks really bad and I need a referral to a butt doctor about it.
