Cry Little Sister - The Lost Boys
I’d like to see a VR experience for everyone getting a car license. Put them virtually on a bike and expose them to what we deal with.
And yeah, I occasionally think I’m really getting crazy on the bike, riding fast and loose for the rush; then I watch videos of real fearless and skilled rocketeers and realize just how old I am 🤣
They’re the people referenced in @Mellow12 ‘s Blazing Saddles post below… “you know, morons.”
Sad but true. Bet she was a hoot to hang out with though. Hope you had a great trip!
Nothing wrong with extricating yourself from the situation entirely and probably what I should have done. I could have just as easily been met with the barrel of a gun instead of a granny when I knocked on the window…
I completely agree and that’s what initially started me down the road rage trail. However, I feel like the calmer resolution was generally better for all involved. I didn’t allow her need for authority to ruin my mood, cause me get reckless and potentially crash or get a ticket. Maybe I’m just getting old LOL.
I will admit I had to bite me tongue to keep from letting her know that if I really wanted to pass, there’s no way her old SUV could stop me LOL. On the flip side, I have zoomie days and have been known to occasionally split traffic at what some might consider unsafe speeds; which I’m sure might startle some drivers. So I try to see both sides.
Wrong thread
I really wasn’t expecting any kind of apology or explanation. I was only hoping to impart some knowledge, diffuse the situation, and hopefully make it better for the next rider. To be honest, I was a bit surprised she even rolled down her window. Thankfully I have a touring style helmet that allows me to open the entire front so she could see that I was smiling and polite and not angry and ready to fight; otherwise she likely wouldn’t have even done that.
I love Blazing Saddles and that perfectly describes some cagers in relation to bikers! 🤣
Although I see you’ve already made your decision, I can answer this question as I have both. For its size, the Spark mini sounds pretty good, but it doesn’t hold a candle to the sound quality of the 40. I’m going to have to research the Nux, if you chose it over all the features of the Spark. I hadn’t heard of it before today so you’ve peaked my curiosity.
What makes the Spark perfect for me is the ability to download any guitar sound I want. There’s a huge community that create custom sounds, most based on the specific sound of a specific artist and song. So when I want to sound like AC/DC Back in Black I just search in the app for cloud tones of AC/DC (or Back in Black), preview a few (which can be done without actually downloading them but you can still play your guitar to hear the tone) then pick my favorite to add to the amp.
Edit: The Nux looks like the better deal as you get the features of a Spark, but with a free wireless guitar jack. I had to buy a wireless system to be able to use my Spark without a guitar cable anchoring me down and will never go back to using cables. So it looks like you made the right choice (or at least the one I would have if I had never heard either IRL).
Shower parties aren’t a thing anymore? In my days scumbags were assisted in their shower by a few larger shipmates and various brushes. It usually only took one to convince them to mind their smell in such cramped quarters.
Star Citizen! /s
Thanks, just installed Vinegar, Baking Soda, Banish, and Hush at your recommendation and I am loving the difference!
LMAO, nope, thought it was one of the motorcycle subs. Didn’t notice the sub until you said that.
