  • On Graphene OS there us a duress pin you can set which will wipe the phone immediately if it’s entered. Although I haven’t been able to get it to work in a way that i could open different profiles automatically by entering a different pin/fingerprint.

    BUT.

My old Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 phone could do it. The phone had a “secure space” which was a separate environment with its own apps. I could assign different unlock fingerprints to it. So one finger would open the default environment and the other finger would open the “secure space”, and it worked seamlessly without any delays in unlocking.

I wouldn’t choose Xiaomi for privacy obviously but it’s just an example that shows it’s possible.

  • On my graphene OS phone i use the Pixel camera for normal photos (networking permission denied), which get synced to Immich.

Then in the stock Graphene camera app it lets me change the location where pictures are saved, so i just set it to a folder not monitored by Immich and i use that for throwaway pictures of things like you mentioned.

  • Literally the first video i found on youtube shows how to bypass the LED on Meta Gen 2 sunglasses. And the video is from only a few weeks ago.

    EDIT:

And the second video i found shows the exact same “hack” working on the newer Meta Ray Ban Display. And that one’s from November.

Are you saying you tried on the latest version and covering the light sensor within the LED allow recording?

I’m saying a dumb little LED (whether it can be bypassed or not) is not enough. Recording with a regular camera, a webcam or a phone is an overt action, if you want to hide it you have to go out of your way to hide what you’re doing. Recording with these kinds of glasses is covert by its very design and should be held to different standards.
