Killing Floor VR
Worked ootb and smoothly for the 50ish hours I’ve put into in while on Linux. OP is defo cursed somehow
Why is this post not marked NSFW(not safe for worms)?
They keep mentioning a 20mph marking but the road in the pic is very clearly a 21mph road
Ohhhh so that’s what the kids these days mean by ‘mogging someone’ or ‘getting mogged’. In context that makes sense
Guy in the foreground with the green band killed my father :(
Don’t update any arch based distro for long enough and your life will be plenty exciting when you do. Bonus points if you use a non-lts kernel that can blip out of existence at any moment along with all the graphics drivers
It’s not that desalinisation is “hard”, you could just boil the water for example. It’s that it’s extremely energy intensive and complex to setup a process that’s both repeatable in industrial quantities and can produce enough flow to satisfy demand.
You need high current, not voltage. Electrolysis of water starts somewhere around 1.5V
Tag yourselves I’m the other muffin
Woah there, let’s not get too political /s
Economies of scale and subsidies/successful lobbying.
I’ve been looking at upgrading our battery bank, stationary and in temperate climate so most pros and cons don’t apply.
The only one that matters to us is usable Joules per dollar. You’d have to make your own spreadsheet with local pricing but for us assuming 95% usable lifepo and 50% usable agm, agms do come out be be slightly cheaper.
However, since lifepos are expected to last about twice as long we’re going with lifepos as they will be a long term investement.
If you’re only looking short term and planning on taking good care of them agms are still a valid choice.
Love reading stories like this, shows how amazingly far Linux desktop has come over the last 10 years.
Even Linus had to admit after their botched Linux challenge that printing is just so much easier vs Windows
Very cool. I remember finding myself so frustrated with how poor the default support was I ended up spending a whole night implementing a system of dynamically creating interaction opaque objects based on each UI element you created.
It has been a long time since I’ve actually used Unity but I’m very glad this exists for future people just wanting to get stuff done.
props for making it free
I’d argue that’s only because km is a very ingrained part of everyday parlance. The use of a megalitre for example would not raise an eyebrow where I live.
Similarly megawatt and gigawatt are pretty common and for things on a global scale terawatts is not unheard of, I don’t see why it would be so different for TWh to resort to an arcane way of formatting it.
Don’t get me wrong I’m not autistic enough to not see your point, it’s just tilting to me to make these extra jumps. Esp. when Wh is already a cursed unit
Two billion thousand. If only we’d come up with a better way to say that. Like some kind of system of metrics. Lmk if we come up with something
Those two on the left 100% modeled their outfits after the baddies in the second half of FarCry 3
Really need to integrate dearrow into the bot
