Not better, it’s a choice. I personally, do want to move away from the city, own a car, a moderately nice home and be able to have a place to help my family if they ever hit hard times.

I don’t care who live next to, I’m actually in an amazing area and soemtimes I consider just staying here because it’s cheap, the landlord loves me and it’s near everything.

There’s incentives in certain states for in law housing and renting those out. You’re still paying in taxes nothing is free. They’re charging your government and your government is making you pay for it through taxes. It’s just routed differently. In the US it’s more direct to the patient and/or customer. Which is why it would make sense at the very least, to have people with medical knowledge not just insurance knowledge because then the common sense of does this person need to be covered for an inhaler or an epipen wouldn’t even be asked.

what comes with this is a lot of hardships and it’s not the greatest thing. one prime example is how state insurance and medicaid don’t have many options for mental health specialists and you’re given a list of numbers that no one at the desk knows how to talk about insurance because they’re medical receptionists and just deal with making appointments; which is why I’ve come to figure out it’s better to get in direct contact with insurance departments before you go to make an appointment or call to make an appointment.

it’s pretty messy but insurance does at least cover the run-around basic appointments with primary care doctors but insurance takes forever to approve shit like mri’s and stuff you really should be getting done sooner and it’s not even because of a doctors schedule it’s because the insurance has to deem it necessary after your doctor ordered it.

That’s where I can see people getting pissed off about insurance. Is your insured and people who have little to no medical knowledge are the ones approving your medical services and medications after your doctor already said you need it done.

So for example, you go to see the medical professional for a rescue inhaler and the people who are not medical professionals go, no you don’t need that to breathe.

Though before the economic collapse happened in 2008, the cost of living was low enough to where if you made 50k annually it actually sustained some part of your life with a savings. Now that’s 20k above poverty and you can’t build a savings with 50k$, now 75k$ minimum is needed to build savings and live comfortably with a realistic figure being around 120k$, depending on where you are in the US.
