Yeah, this sounds a lot better. Am excited to give it a go. Funnily enough I have also recently started practicing medical terms/speaking to a doctor in Spanish lol.

Whoa, this looks like a good one. Will definitely be checking this out. Thank you.
This is an idea I’ve played around with although I haven’t used this particular app. I used ChatGPT as well as a bot called HyperGlot on Character.AI but I will have to check this one out too since it seems specifically focused on language learning. Thanks for the suggestion.
Yeah this is another thing I am doing that I failed to mention in my original post. I have been listening to a lot of reggaeton and Spanish language music since like January which has helped and am also reading some stuff, next month I am planning on getting a Spanish language copy of “One Thousand Years of Solitude” by Gabriel Garcia Marquez which is one of my favourite novels.
Most of the nouns I’ve learned have come from interacting with Spanish media rather than note copying. I mostly used Duolingo and flashcards to teach me the grammar.
Whoa was not expecting this many responses lol. Will try to respond as much as I can but thank you to everyone who has offered suggestions.
Yes this is exactly what I am looking for, thank you. We used Quizlet in high school and I still use it occasionally and have an account there. As for Quora… yeah, I’ve used Quora Spanish in the past and the content is questionable to say the least. The rest I have not used before and will look into them.
A lot of people say this but I found it useful as a beginner tool personally, I have ADHD and Duolingo was simply what I found to be the best entry tool for this reason due to its game element. The app basically being freemium at this point is a big problem I have with it but I don’t think I would have been able to get into the habit of practicing without it. That said it has fulfilled its purpose for me and I don’t use it that much anymore.
Reports of explosions in Jerusalem apparently
Prick.
To make a long story short: The USSR was a massive threat to Western hegemony so they had to go.
Nice! I used to vape but was told to stop because my blood pressure became abnormally high for an 18 year old (how old I was when I quit)
It is sad but yeah, it was necessary in this case. A tranquilliser can take up to a few minutes to take effect and would not have guaranteed the kid’s safety.
The overall issue however is not whether it was justified in this case but the zoos themselves. It is absolutely evil in my eyes to entrap animals in cages and exploit them for entertainment. The entire zoo industry is disgusting and needs to be rid of.
The only reason to support Israel is if you are literally evil.
I hope you’re right. This has gone on for far too long.
I am as well. Took a lot of breaking away from the anti-communist propaganda but I’m glad I did.
Been reading “The Art of War” by Sun Tzu again.
This is pretty much how I feel about music. It is pretty much my biggest interest outside of politics and I love exploring new artists.
Obviously men can be victims of domestic abuse and sexual assault, I don’t really see anyone arguing otherwise who isn’t a bad troll and I agree with what you have said, it’s a really disingenuous argument and I would argue a strawman as well. The dismissal of male victims is primarily due to the patriarchy and misogyny itself. The ones who seem to dismiss male victims the most are other men who act like the victim should have enjoyed it (see literally any comment section under an article about a female teacher being arrested for raping a male student), it is because historically and contemporarily men are expected to enjoy and want sex and be the dominant group within society.
I think it’s the same reason that popular music is so formulaic (This isn’t a “modern music bad” argument, this goes for popular radio-hit music of any decade). These big studios are more concerned about making money than putting out a passion project so they go the safe route.
Thanks for the response! I mentioned in another comment that I am looking into buying Spanish language versions of Marquez books but this is generally something I am saving for B2/near C1 fluency level. I originally was going to turn subtitles off for the Mexican scenes in Breaking Bad but all learning Spanish has done is make me realise just how bad Giancarlo Esposito is at speaking it lol. I’ve read some children level stories in Spanish and have generally found this easy to follow along with so I am going to be moving on from this and look for more challenging material.
