I have never really played Skyrim. Is that a cosmetic armor? If so, I wouldn’t really care about it.

I know this is a bit different and I also know Larian and their games, but the “it’s only cosmetics” DLC stuff also gets very heavily criticized by a lot of people because, “they could have put it in the base game” or something. I don’t really care about cosmetic DLC’s, but a lot of people do. Horse armor yada yada, you know the drill.

Really depends on the place of work. I work in the IT of out company and my PC isn’t monitored. My door is constantly open though and there are a lot of people passing. Me looking at the screen is normal and part of my work. Me looking at my phone is always seen as me not working.

I think you’re right. Having it as big as Reddit or other social media platforms wouldn’t be good. But I would like to have most communities for medium populated hobbies to have a popular enough comminity that I can not use Reddit for it. Right now, even some relatively popular communities have no members and no post generation.

Sadly true. Some communities aren’t active on Discord or Lemmy (yet I hope). Until then, I check it for some hobbies.

10-ish years here. I haven’t used it on my phone since the cut, but I sadly can’t really quit it completely, since a lot of communities haven’t migrated and I have to use them for my hobbies. Most of their discords are sadly very dead or full with memes and no real discussion. When (or if sadly) they all convert, I can quit Reddit completely. Until then, I try to use it as little as possible.

I guess that person has to be my ex. We were together for a long time and were even planing a life together. We were expecting a child, which sadly ended in a stillbirth. Then by sheer coincidence I find out she has been texting some very questionable things to her “best friend” and her ex bf. Turns out she was fucking both of them while I was on cloud nine and thought we had something special. When I confronted her about it she talked about her not being able to continue without me, fully knowing I had a depressive and even suicidal past. When I packed my stuff she called the god damn cops and told them I hit her or some shit. Luckily enough they saw what was unfolding when they arrived and only talked to me for like an hour and let me go. I never talked to her again and cut her out of my life on the spot.

After talking to my relatives and friends about her, they all told me they thought she was a psycho bitch but didn’t wanna ruin it. I stopped talking to all my “friends” from that time, and even my mother for a while, because I felt like they should have told me that I was making the biggest mistake of my life. I still do in fact.

In retrospective I know now that it was one of the worst times of my life and I am lucky to have dodged that bullet. Though I needed therapy and a lot of time to leave all of that behind.

It’s as they said: I’m not arguing against you. I think there is a healthy amount of traffic and cars and your condition is one of the reasons why. I can see how I did come off as doing so, so I apologize for the confusion.

There is always exceptions and in some areas, you have to have some cars. But removing most of the cars and replacing most of the 8 lanes of traffic with alternatives would be more than enough.

Die Farben sehen wegen der Abendsonne und der benutzten Kamera echt ein bisschen so aus, aber die Rheinpromenade ist echt sehr schön.

Geschichtenzeit: Ich habe mir etwas großes und relativ schweres bestellt (~35 Kilo) und das sollte letzten Monat um den 20sten geliefert werden aber DPD hatten dann wohl keinen Bock mir das zu liefern. Die haben gesagt die konnten das nicht zustellen, nachdem nie versucht wurde es zuzustellen und haben das zurückgeschickt. Das konnte man sogar sehen in der Verfolgung, das ging hier ins Lager und dann wieder zurück, ohne Versuch es zuzustellen. Jetzt wird das diese Woche nach viel telefonieren und Emails schreiben dann zugestellt, aber mit UPS. Kannste dir nicht ausdenken.

Das ist ja eins der Probleme: Reddit macht das Sub dann wieder auf mit ihren eigenen Moderatoren oder mit reddittreuen Mods. Man kann nicht gewinnen.

Reading the article would make me believe it’s 80% of traffic from Louisiana and not overall. So they will be fine lol.

I’ll miss Reddit and mostly RIF, but I’m not staying on that sinking ship. I hope Lemmy and Mastodon will get more and more traffic so it just replaces these toxic platforms at one point.
