I’m guessing with France they are afraid of agitating their domestic muslim population even further towards rioting and violence. Hungary under Orban has always been openly islamophobic so not too surprising for them I guess.

On the surface some of things he did like might of looked establishing national parks and the trust busts until you look more into his reasons. The parks were just a way of blocking off land with potential resources off from the civilian population to avoid paying for royalties and relocations, and he was really only against trusts for how they were becoming a hinderance towards the state. The man was full time imperialist through and through.

Not much of a surprise that Hollywood is as out of touch with the globally oppressed as they are with their movie audiences.

I visited Costa Rica earlier this year. While the people were nice and enjoyed my visit, the place was quite clearly an impoverished banana republic being driven in the ground by a liberal government whose whole economic strategy is to suck up and attract as much cash from western tourists as possible. Every home there had it’s windows and doors barred up like prison cells because of theft.

My parents are Jehovah’s Witnesses. They are 100% detached from reality and it sucked being raised into it but they are staunchly pacificist and non-political so they are at least benign in my opinion compared to something Falun Gong.

Assad, disrupt China from economically developing the region in and pulling it closer towards BRICS, and hopefully have ISIS bleed into Iran. It’s also worth noting that the US wasn’t very successful in establishing a loyal puppet government in Iraq, most Iraqis still hate the US.

While socialism does have any specific doctrine for dealing with bullying, a lot of bullying stems from reactionary sentiments and ideas e.g. racism, ableism, classism etc., so by fighting those you’d be naturally fighting the causes of bullying. Social Darwinistic modes of thinking are fundamentally incompatible with socialism/communism.
