CPUSA is hot liquid shit but it wasn’t always that way and there’s a big push since 2022 to reclaim the party from FBI and pro-Democratic Party plants. That being said I think many leftists are misunderstanding what the purpose of revolutionary? parties like CPUSA or PSL or what have you. You can’t simply vote the revolution into power, but they serve as a barometer for revolutionary sentiment.
I commend your revolutionary optimism comrade, and therefore are perhaps a greater socialist than I, however I EAGERLY await my pessimist mouth to be slammed shut.
Let’s hope you’re right but I feel that the US/EU would be more willing to literally drop bombs on a Western nation than allow them to take power. But it would have to be a legitimate dyed-in-the-wool revolutionary communist party and not just a social democratic party.

Socialism CANNOT come from the ballot box within liberalism and especially within the Global North, however it serves as a barometer for revolutionary interest as the US American power structure is exhausted and losing its vice grip on its allies. It’s certainly possible that some leftist party can come into power in Europe at some moment even if everyone from the NYT, CNN, Der Spiegel, etc. to the EU will work to drag their names through the mud and block everything they try.
It’s no longer feasible in 2024 to just have CIA goons straight up assassinate a “white country”’s leadership.
Definitely vote, just vote for whatever the closest thing to a revolutionary party that you can, even if that party is only going to get like 2%, revolution won’t happen via the voting box but there’s a reason that the CIA tries to subvert these parties.
Social democrats can “win” sometimes but their advances are fleeting, look at Sweden, Netherlands, and France to see how quickly their gains can be undone. Hell, even Labour in Britain and the Democratic Party in the US were somewhat respectable social democratic parties in the earlier to mid 20th century. However why would they work to shut down CPUSA (before it was co-opted)? Because it can serve as a barometer for revolutionary sentiment.
They were evil but at least American presidents seemed like statesmen until the 2000s, once Dubya got into power, it was all downhill with exception of Obama.

Hamas knows, better than many armchair “experts” online that the goal is not for Israelis to find humanity (impossible) but to be so frightened that they’d rather flee Israel to the US, Europe, Argentina, Australia, etc. Half the nation has a second foreign passport, after the Al-Aqsa Flood, a significant number of Israelis citizens boarded on planes, buses and boats going anywhere for a short holiday. Fear of Hamas from the South and a significantly stronger Hezbollah from the north might, for once, cause a reverse settlement process.
You have to understand that for a number of decades the IDF has successfully portrayed itself as an unstoppable juggernaut, and therefore many “dual nationality” Jewish people are only there because they have been convinced it’s safe.
To what level is Washington willing to bleed its own soft power before it forces SOME degree of moderation on Israel, a nation hellbent on going off the ramp of extremism on the right as theoretically possible.

There was an interview on the LA Times, I think (I’m going to look for it afterwards), where the DNC is confident Biden will skate to victory because the court trials will destroy Trump. This is the same mentality that they had in 2016 when the DNC and Hillary for President organizations had when they figured the “grab them by the p%ssy” audio leak would obliterate Trump and they rested on their laurels.
Not to mention Democrats figure they are likely to still win the House and Senate (with even bigger margins) and losing the presidency wouldn’t be the end of the world for them. Especially since they like the thrill of being “the good guys” in contrast to Trump.
I have made a special attempt to avoid almost all smartphone use beyond googling things, getting directions and checking emails and it has made reality a lot more real.
I think there’s the potential of it beginning if Trump loses reelection and in a desperate attempt to save his own fat orange ass might command his legions of fascists to attempt to take power. However it could not progress beyond the initial throwing down of the gauntlet, because the US Armed Forces would drop bombs on whatever ragtag army of lunatics wants trouble if they need to.
I’m sure they’ll agree to it in the short term, but the true goal is the pre-1948 borders.

China’s foreign policy lately is to attempt talks to reach peace agreements. This is no different. As much as we’d like them to be like the USSR that took a clear stance against imperialism and injustice, the PRC is taking a different approach.
I’m old, things are better now but like 15-20 years ago, the bizarre worship of white people was a sickening result of colonialism and neocolonialism. Liberalism has fooled so many non-whites that Westerners became wealthy not by pillaging other people and exploiting them but because we have something inherently superior to us (we don’t).
Not so relevant but it reminded me of something.
I remember reading a Telegram or Signal thread where Ukrainian pilots trained to fly the F-1X planes preferred their old MiGs because they say Soviet/Russian weapons and vehicles of war are built for worst-case scenario combat (aka how actual wars of defense work) where you might have to use things mothballed in some warehouse or dirty, or amateurishly calibrated or used beyond their supposed parameters because that’s war and Moscow has to account for a scenario where they have to dig in and fight a bloody, miserable battle like Leningrad. Whereas American weapons and vehicles are made for best-case scenario combat because they’re designed for offensive war and lets be real are successful based on how well the weapons manufacturers present their offers to the DoD.
But because they simply need more planes, and obviously Russia won’t sell them new ones, they have to put on a show and suck the Americans dick for the F-16s because they don’t have much better options.
I’m a sinoboo but I’m willing to play Devil’s Advocate:
1 Urban versus rural divide is still harsh. The big cities look like they live in the future but a great deal of the nation still lives in underdeveloped areas in the countryside.
2 While a lot better than it used to be, air pollution can still be rather bad.
3 Population growth is still too low.
4 Too much of the new national wealth is tied up in real estate (which is a shitty industry for the health of a nation).
5 While it’s to prevent CIA led coups, separatist movements and/or color revolutions… the security state is rather stifling and civil rights are cast aside.
6 Poor soft power projection since the arts where largely abandoned by society with the Dengist government. They lack “anime”, or “Kpop” to push their narrative into the world. Lately the CPC has been promoting more domestically produced movies but they really need to step up their game.
7 Their LGBTQ+ rights are garbage, and honestly it’s inexcusable.
