To be fair, there are some things that work in comic books that don’t work in movies, and vice versa. But they should still try to adapt the comic panels so that it translates better to film, not change the storyline completely.

Also, we already have a Killing Joke movie and a Hush movie (unless you specifically meant big budget live-action adaptations).

Kinda wild that when you start making movies that people want to watch, they actually go watch them. Who would’ve known???

Well, that’s the thing. It might sound silly, but it’s actually really hard to know what people will like. That’s why they pay marketers millions of dollars a year to find out what people like. Tastes can change across the span of a few years, and by the time the movie comes out, audiences may have moved on to something else.

Also, making a good movie doesn’t guarantee that people will go watch it. There are plenty of good movies that flopped at the box office, and there are plenty of bad movies that made $1 billion.

Despite all that, I’m glad you’ve seen lots of good movies this year! Hopefully this momentum continues to 2027!

Is that The Odyssey in the fourth S-tier?

I’m excited for this movie and I will see it opening day, but after all the big fuss that was made about it all over social media, I hope people here put their money where their mouth is and actually buy a ticket. It was a bad look for last year’s “The Day The Earth Blew Up” when the movie flopped despite everyone on Reddit clamoring to see it.

Pretty sure the script was already finished a long time ago, Marvel is only just now revealing that they were involved in the script.
