We don’t need a second Obama. We need a first of a new kind of president, one that manages to actually change things. Not a party line tower, not a middle of the roadster, but a daring and principled changer. The type of person we’d need would be fighting both parties, not just pissing the other one off. Because both parties right now are fubar and our future looks bleak.

I never did it for the social pressure. I was always curious and then I found out they’re really fun

Or people who flush with the toilet lid open. Gross

Have you tried drugs

ITT: a lot of people who don’t work in production. I do. I work in lighting. It’s a massive group of people all with specific jobs working harmoniously. But you better hope all the departments are worth their scratch because one bad dept can turn a 12hr day into a 15hr day by fucking up. It’s chaotic, but that’s what I thrive on. I couldn’t go to the same place every day with the same people, and not move around doing stuff.

Twenty? Try thirty or even forty.
And he has a weird amount to say about lobsters, believe it or not
I think, if anything, it shows an inability to limit an array of sounds into discrete “genres”

Shows how many people lack any taste or discernment whatsoever.

What’s Merz but a secondhand emotion

It’s a like $3000 hat. They wear them every Saturday evening as they walk around. From what I understand it’s like a bit of a keeping up with the joneses based on how big and fancy and expensive your Saturday hat is.

Ew at her age she could be your stepsister

Run this scenario in NYC. The amount of carbrain people when we have so many ways to get around is absurd.

That’s just what they do. Because they’re cruel.

Disagree. Maybe I just like the games too much for any adaptation but a perfect one to be what I’m looking for, but they lost all that made the game good.
Joel’s moral grayness was the crux of his character. But in the show they made sure you knew he was a good guy just a little heartbroken. He was volunteering around the QZ instead of bribing his way out of it like in the games. They totally did Tess dirty with her death scene. What the fuck was that? They don’t have that moment of Joel finally trusting Ellie enough to give her a gun, she steals one and is strangely fixated on violence. And the one group they were fine displaying that moral grayness? The fucking HUNTERS. That whole episode where they’re trapped in Pittsburgh, the hunters’ morals are given depth and their crusade to hunt down the brothers are rooted in something we could all relate to…when these people are killing and stripping innocent people of their lives for the possibility of supplies.
They didn’t trust the audience. They didn’t pull off the adaptation.

Jeeeezus. Could they stop even if they wanted to

The show lost all its momentum when they couldn’t pull off the first season particularly well.
Came to say the same
