I’m pretty sure symbolic logic with Ps and Qs is colloquially known as formal logic. Which is usually treated as a strand of philosophy. I was making fun of how anon is acting like philosophy is just people bullshitting when any philosopher worth a dime is making pretty complex and airtight arguments that you learn the basis of in a logic class, which a 4chan user wouldn’t have taken because they are usually losers with nothing good going for them.

The main takeaway from Jesus is his message. It’s important to note that people’s beliefs form their own reality. For example when Jesus did the whole fishes and loaves thing, he probably didn’t multiply all that food. But the people listening to him believed in him and found it in themselves to share their food with the people who didn’t have any. So it seemed like a miracle. When Jesus “healed lepers” it’s because he treated them like people. A lot of the homeless are literally crazy because people ignore them, but if you take the effort to treat them like real people, then they act like normal people.

However, I agree there isn’t a way to explain the resurrection. But that’s the difference between Christians and non-Christians. You don’t have to believe in the resurrection and that’s a perfectly valid standpoint. But I really think it’s an injustice to treat Jesus as a magic man when he really just wanted everyone to love each other. The people around him believed he was really the son of God and maybe that’s simply because they had never received the unconditional love and respect Jesus would show them.

That movie is textbook glorifying war 😭 The first 15 minutes especially!! It’s literally called Saving Private Ryan as in here’s a movie about heroic saviors in a situation that is only possible because of war. Majority of the audience doesn’t leave a film like that thinking “war is so awful” but instead thinking “wow the scene where they stormed normandy was awesome it was filmed in such a cool way omg i wish i was also able to be as brave and heroic as those men.”

I think that movie is great, but it is impossible to make any media about war, that directly shows the war, without coming across as pro-war.

the last generation of honda insight had paddle shifters to control regen. however “downshifting” to get more regen is slower than just leaving it on the max regen. so the only time it’s fun to use is when timing out a perfect stop at a red light which i don’t think is porsche’s intention with their fake shifting.
