This was brought up way back when. The issue with leaks is there’s no way to verify them, and we don’t want fake leaks. That would discredit any real release.

If you have a bunch of leaks mentioning people who couldn’t possibly have been involved, it brings into question the validity of any other names mentioned.

The problem with this argument was their short-sighted business model. They sold digital games for the same price as physical games.

If consumers are accustom to “owning” physical games, and then pay the same price for digital, of course they would assume they own those as well.

If instead you needed to buy a subscription to each game that came out, and they only charged $10/month for the latest AAA game, the “you don’t own it” argument would actually be reasonable.

That’s like news reports that just say something like:

Scientists discover water is wet, after utilizing $500k taxpayer-backed grant

Which is definitely intended to enrage people who won’t do any further research, or read what the study is actually about, and will instead spread the misinformation and distrust of the scientific community

In general, most people know not to bring up their weird kinks, strange habits, or fringe beliefs on the very first date.

So if Anon gave a watered down version of their Nazi talking points, it was probably easy to extrapolate.
