It was a bit slow until the last few episodes but I think this was a pretty good show. I wouldn’t mind a season 2. Nina is so annoying, but in a good way lel

I watched the three episodes back to back and so far I’m not too impressed. It’s alright, I like the animation and voice acting, the plot is meh so far both from a DC and an isekai perspective. I can only say for sure that I fucking love the ed. It took me a second and I thought “hey this voice sounds familiar” and then I realised. Glad to see Dad dropped another sick banger :)
I’m so sad it’s over. I really like how all four of them now have something to work towards without having to compromise who they are in the process. This anime gets a 10/10 from me for sure. Definitely in my top 5 for this season.
The story wrapped up pretty nicely with everything being essentially resolved. I doubt there will be another season but I don’t mind. Mahiru learned to love her art, Kano performed in front of an audience of 50K, Kiui is more confident in herself and Mei gets to spend all day with her oshi 😍 /hj
Goodbye JELEE. It was a pleasure 🫡

Can’t believe it’s almost over. I had mixed feelings at first but I’ve come to really love this show. Can’t wait to see how the band deals with the view count. I can already imagine how each of the characters react. Still, 103 does seem oddly low so maybe there’s something sus going on? It also seems like we’re getting more context for Nina’s backstory next episode.

I’m aware that I have an aversion to sincerity but this show really forces me to think about it. I don’t know if it’s necessarily a bad thing but at the same time, it’s a shitty feeling to be unfairly judged for liking something and conforming as a response just delays the issue. Oddly enough, being sincere sometimes feels more freeing than the defense provided by pretending that everything is a joke.
Idk what I’m rambling about. This was a good episode imo. I think I may have misjudged Melo and Yukine a little but we’ll see.

Ugh this episode hurt so much T^T
I got really bad vibes from Yukine when she was meeting with Mahiru. Not that she was lying or anything, but that her presentation was designed for the express purpose of wow-ing Mahiru more than a normal commission for an event, like she has an unfair advantage in the negotiation. After this job, it’s clear that Mahiru would have a much larger following and more offers, which would make JELEE take an even lower priority.
Even if this has nothing to do with Kano, it really feels like it’s a combo attack on all her vulnerabilities.
When Mahiru told the others about the job and Kano started freaking out, I kind of saw the blow up coming but I completely didn’t expect her to say those things. Mahiru’s crying face was just so heartbreaking after all their experiences together.
This is a really well made story. Also fuck dramatubers.
Edit: after thinking about it for a bit, yeah I hate Yukine. She sees her daughter as nothing more than a tool to achieve her ambitions. I don’t see that as an achievement to be celebrated if this is how she gets there.

I’m sure everyone has a pretty good idea of how the rest of the party is going to take this news hehe

I’ve read the source material but shh it’s pretty obvious how this is going to turn out and I’m so here for it
Kiui is amazing for pulling off all that. Seeing fan art of your work is a surreal feeling. Seeing people enjoy your work enough to spend time making art of it is such a unique feeling.

I remember when I was unsure of what I wanted to do. I was just going through the motions and doing whatever I was told to do without taking the time to understand myself. It was rough. It’s a good feeling to have a tangible goal that feels achievable.

This was my favourite moment from the LN and I’m so happy to see it animated. They seem to have cut some parts out but it’s probably because otherwise the pacing would be off.
I would feel bad for Kazuma with how Claire treats him but he brought this on himself. Classic Kazuma lol
:O I mind a lot pay me royalties now /s
I didn’t tag you because I forgor 💀
This hits hard. I don’t feel very good when someone outdoes me in something I take pride in, and it’s always without malicious intent so I feel even worse for feeling bad. It’s just something I pretend doesn’t happen in the hopes that one day I’ll be confident in my own skills.
I fucking love this show.
yeah this is funny
woa i didnt know it existed on lemmy. feel free to crosspost :D
mfw i drink too much beet juice :3
Markiplier :D
This is an interesting anime. I started watching it because it kind of reminded me of Kyokou Suiri and so far I’m liking it.
If GBC is going to continue then I have hope that it could get better. FWIW I still think this was a pretty good show. It didn’t hit the “it could have been so good” point which is arguably worse than a bad story, so I did enjoy it quite a bit, and I certainly think the writers are capable of making something good out of this considering how much it improved towards the end.
I definitely like Jellyfish more though. I think the writing was way better and although it was a bit slow, stuff still happens so the slow pacing wasn’t a bad thing.
I think the strategy works for Paripi Koumei but it just doesn’t work narratively here because the goal is different. I think opting for a smaller audience was the right call for togetoge. And I may be misunderstanding/misremembering but didn’t they mention that the exposure from DD could help them? In this case I’d argue it would actually harm them because the rivalry was already public.
