That’s a good point. Pardon them as each is verified, a few per day.

This, and responsible Presidents usually have the pardon recipients reviewed and screened, as I understand things.
So, we meet at last, Florida Man!
Can’t you make one atom thin sheets of carbon with a pencil and tape?
The sequel films are trash, but a lot of Disney’s Star Wars stuff for the small screen has been really good.
Police don’t even really have a duty to enforce the law, at least not in the USA:

There’s no way to guarantee privacy. An overbearing spouse, an anti-union boss, or a judgmental pastor could all insist on seeing the votes marked as they prefer.
A voting booth was invented for this very reason.
Voting booths are important. People should be able to vote how they want, and that means secret ballots. This is only possible with a secure space.
I know that Americans love mail-in voting and yearn for online voting, but mail-in is a poor substitute for voting booths, and online voting would be terrible for this plus many many other reasons.
I prefer a touchscreen in general. Although I realize that different companies have better or worse systems. I read complaints about self checkout in the USA and scratch my head since in Holland self checkout is lovely.
Trying to use AI is a dumpster fire though.
I think that they mean you still have to eat and sleep and try to have joy in your life.
Yes, that’s why it’s posted to aigen.
This is why having classes in transportation is bad. You are literally in the same vehicle, but companies are trying to convince people to pay more. The only way for this to actually work is to make the cheaper options suck ass.
Airlines have ended up with a business model that depends on them providing bad service.
Meanwhile in the Netherlands we are installing a new government of parties that don’t believe in global warming. 😭
If you’re willing to kill an entire people (that is, genocide) then violence works. There are no native American raids into white settlements in the USA anymore.
Israel has the poor taste to want to use the same tactics that European empires used in the 16th to 20th centuries, but in the 20th and 21st centuries.
Hopefully the police don’t murder people at random there. In Holland we have civil servants who are not the police who will issue fines in cases like this, which seems sensible.
Indeed.
Iraq (no nukes) - armies flattened and US-installed government running the show.
North Korea (nukes) - stern finger-wagging by Democrats and angry rhetoric followed by hand jobs from Trump.
Pakistan (got nukes violating treaties) - serious frowning by US until we needed them for our pointless “war on terror” in Afghanistan, then all was forgiven and forgotten.
Iran (desperately seeking nukes) - agreed to stop their efforts for a hot minute until Trump rolled the deal back, showing that US is an unreliable partner and not to be trusted.
Overall the message is clear: get nukes as fast as you can and you’ll be safe to torture and oppress your people. The west in general and the US in particular doesn’t have any real efforts to stop you (although watch your opsec and don’t use Israeli USB sticks you find lying around…).

I help my kids with their schoolwork. It’s pretty reasonable, and also offers plenty of opportunities for me to talk with them about deeper issues that schools don’t have time or expertise in teaching. However even the basics they offer are okay, without any parental kibitzing.
Full disclosure: I live in Holland.
