I’m not a hoarder by any means, but my external 2TB drive is finally getting full. I just recently learned just how cheap storage is on a laptop with the 2.5" bays. I’m likely gong to use the new 4TB drive for general storage, then wipe the 2TB drive and move all of my content there.

I don’t know what you intend to eventually do, but just so you know, kdenlive can get really unstable with big projects like that. If your goal is to eventually edit them into one video, do it in chunks and save often.

For real. I have a 32" CRT dedicated to watching TOS and the rarely used SNES. Shows from that era are better viewed in the intended format, I think. My copy of TOS is too high quality. It makes it easy to spot foam rocks on the set if I just watch it on my computer.

Thankfully, Jupiter keeps doing its job.

The effects for this episode were way beyond what was expected of tv for the time, and the premise of a long dead species that sent out an automated planet killer is awesome.

I have never been anywhere close to academia, hell I don’t have a degree at all. However, I am very aware of the bullshit that goes on with publishing. Oddly enough, I occasionally need to read papers on material science or metallurgy.

From my limited experience and understanding, there is no journal for null findings. Isn’t that equally important? Tempted to just make something basic for that.

For simple trimming, it is really hard to beat KDEnlive. Depending on just how many clips you’ll need to import and edit, it might be the tool for the whole job.
