The harder missions are not stealth-able despite seeming that way at the outset.
Every mission that says it is stealthable is stealthable. This is just wrong. I’ve played this game for ~700 hours.

Yeah, development of PD2 was handed over to Sidetrack Games which is a tiny studio made up of a few modders.
They’ve done great work on the game so far, including the upcoming engine improvements and fixing many very old bugs that Starbreeze never bothered with. They’re great!
Interesting that this is a completely different program to the Windows version. I wonder if this is also going to replace that one at some point and we just got it early?
Both the website (looks like average AI slop website design) and the GitHub link in the footer really suggest it is tbh.

So, just to be clear, with a PC you can:
Steam allows (but notably does not require) DRM but has Proton integration, Steam Input and Steam Family Sharing. The refund policy is also reasonable and makes me far more likely to try games I might not otherwise.
GOG is also an option for true digital ownership of games, if they’re sold there. The refund policy there is even better!
Meanwhile, Sony’s refund policy is laughably bad (no refunds once you start the download) and they’re about to force everyone to fucking deal with it. What is the point of owning one of these locked down, shitty boxes at this point?

In the current totally FUCKED hardware market, this is honestly better than I was expecting. I just unfortunately think now is a shit time to buy computers in general.

There was a brief time there where I thought even Xbox was doing pretty good shit. Backwards compatibility and the Xbox Adaptive Controller come to mind. With the latter especially, I feel like that was a lot of R&D for a relatively niche product. Nowadays, idk wtf they’re doing over there besides constantly fucking up.

CDPR did nothing wrong. PS4/XB1 were hobbled by hard drives.
The fuck kind of mental gymnastics is this? It was their choice to release it on those platforms so the consequences are their fault.
I say this as someone who bought this game at launch on PC and had a terrible time but then gave it another go 5 years later and loved it.

It really is quite amazing how fast its gone completely to shit. The site is so fucking slow so much of the time. I’ve started moving my projects one-by-one to a Forgejo instance I control, the main hurdle is just updating actions workflows to work there.

The only cases I can think of are pre-ordering a few days in advanced to preload if you have crap internet, or if you fully intend on buying the game anyways and there’s some sort of bonus for doing so.
It is also easy to refund games on Steam, including preorders, so you do have that escape hatch if the game is obviously fucking crap in the first couple hours. On a console though? No fucking thank you.

“No one can accuse Microsoft of not having invested for the last 25 years,”
Coulda fucking fooled me tbh.

I don’t even understand how the fuck this show exists. We haven’t gotten a new TM game in over a decade :(
It is tragically Unreal Engine 5. Don’t know what the fuck it is with companies who have great in house engine giving up to use complete garbage.

I remain baffled by people actively liking this upscaling and frame gen garbage.

This is delightful, wishlisted and will buy at launch for sure.

I got 64GB DDR5 last January for $209.99 US. The same kit is now a ludicrous $1163.99 US. This is so, so fucking stupid.

Runs great for me on Fedora 44. No tinkering needed.

Different groups of people. Being unable to miss work is a real thing for many Americans.
Oh yeah, Mallcrasher is a really funny one to stealth lol
