I (the dad) had to pay my stay in hospital hotel after the birth, but it wasn’t outrageously expensive. The food at the restaurant was outrageously bad and expensive though.

Hotels are a lousy option for me and my family with small kids. We need an option where we can cook, play and be a family. I grew up using Intervac, which is a homeexchange service, where families from Germany, Austria, France etc lived in our house, whilst we lived in theirs.
