        While that was true a number of years ago, I don’t think it is anymore. Amazon has their own shipping network. They’ve been working to replace UPS by shipping the packages themselves. At least that’s how it was last time I worked with them.

        And as others have said all my Amazon purchases are delivered directly by Amazon either in a white van or an Amazon branded delivery truck similar to a UPS truck.

          Sheesh. There will be no other companies except Amazon, Google, Microsoft, and a few social media companies in 20 years. Amazon is even doing health insurance now.

        I’ve never had that experience but I don’t know about anywhere other than my own area.

          Amazon definitely does contract out the to other carriers, depends on volume and where you live.

          Source: Sometimes they go through USPS who won’t deliver packages to my apartment and I get to make a trip to the USPS and force the poor old lady to lift a box of cat litter I’m subscribed to.
