This has nothing to do with cheap or expensive.
Solar panel only generates that much energy, efficiency is stagnant. Turn off all fossil fuel generators and we are all in the dark.

If it was that simple, China would have done it already.
China is doing it I thought. It’s just a matter of scaling up the industry.
Even China cant stop using fossil energy.
To make Solar Panels you need to dig silicon, cadmium, tellurium, and selenium.
To store the energy generated you need aluminium, cobalt, iron, lead, lithium, manganese, nickel and graphite.
All of which require tremendeous amount of fossil fuel energy.
You want to scale it up? Destroying the earth in the process…
As I said, we need new evolution in getting energy.
