          soak overnight and ditch the soak water to reduce the gassyness (dissolves some of the undigestable sugars in the seed coat)

        Pressure cooker — dry beans are way cheaper than canned, and prep time for dried beans is substantially faster with a pressure cooker compared to conventional stovetop. (I love my Instant Pot!)
