There’s a law the Republicans forced through that specifically forces the Biden Administration fund Israel. That “bypassed Congress” claim is kind of wrong.

See, Congress said pay this, and then didn’t pass a budget that actually allocated money for it.

Biden actually tried to slow roll the funding the last time this happened, but this time around Republicans in Congress made sure he wouldn’t be allowed to slow roll it.

And the money has to come from somewhere.

How does the Leahy Act jibe with laws that specifically require the Administration to sell weapons to Israel?

Well, I’m not a lawyer. But these guys are

The law is clear and aligned with the majority of Americans who believe the U.S. should cease arms shipments to Israel until it stops its military operation in Gaza

Has Biden attempted to use any of these laws to stop shipments? Has he said, “I want to stop shipments, but my legal team tells me I can’t?” No, he has not. If the laws are contradictory, that’s for the courts to resolve, but the courts haven’t weighed in on it because he hasn’t attempted to do it because he fundamentally opposes doing it, because he is extremely pro-Israel, as he has always been.

You can believe this unfounded conspiracy theory that Biden has secret Palestinian sympathies in direct contradictions of his statements and entire career, and is only being held back by legal constraints that many lawyers have publically said don’t exist, but at that point, I fail the see how what you’re doing is any different from QAnon people who always have a way to explain away everything Trump did or didn’t do. “Sure he did [thing that contradicts out worldview], but that’s just because he has to play along with the deep state for now. Behind the scenes he’s working towards [thing we want]. Trust the plan.”
