Let it be noted that this is an opinion article.

Editorials and Opinion pieces do contribute to social discourse regarding news, and may be correct, but unlike their normal news, they can say whatever they want about the news from the authors they hire.

Opinion pieces allow news sources to use sensationalist and inflammatory articles to drive engagement without harming their credibility, because of that giant OPINION label.

NYT and WSJ’s editorials and opinion pieces tend to be quite left and quite right leaning respectfully, to an almost satirical level. In my opinion, the WSJ’s comment section under its editorials are much worse.

I’m not disparaging the article in any way, just saying for those that may not already know.

I feel like there are international laws that say this is illegal. That is unless you have Biden veto anything you don’t like.

There are only 2 demands that Israel has - release of all the hostages and unconditional surrender of Hamas. Stop reading dumbass propaganda.

Exactly! Release the hostages, and surrender Hamas (or anyone we so choose to claim is Hamas), and we’ll allow what’s left of you to return to your open air prison. Oh, by the way, we’ve armed the Zionist, but they’re not acting on our account. Totally independent.

Then why will Gaza shrink after the current conflict?

It’s a buffer zone (so not really taking more land for themselves, more like reducing the Gaza side) to better prepare for blitz terrorist attacks like the one on oct 7. Makes a lot of sense to me. Should Palestine show will to establish a democratic, civilized authority over its land, I’m sure that could change (like the Israeli disengagement in 2005…).

Hamas is currently in charge because that didn’t work. They then tried for peace in 2008 and 2012, which also didn’t work. Like imagine being the war-hungry side in a deal with Hamas.

Also, then why are there currently honest to God pogroms in the West Bank?

Is this for real? That is all they need to do? Source?

If this is true, continued anti-Israel sentiment is going to be interesting.
