What fucking border are you patrolling in the middle of the East Coast? The use of border patrol for this Nazi shit really strengthens the idea that they just called up the most racist parts of the police system to do these raids.

Charlotte has an international airport. That makes everywhere near it part of the border zone!
That hogwash has given Border Patrol jurisdiction over nearly everyone in the country. They have enhanced powers over other law enforcement because they are limited to operating near the border, so declaring everywhere the border makes them incredibly powerful.
I could see that as a reasonable argument for ICE, for customs enforcement. Seems like border patrol should be near a physical border, though. Otherwise, why make them two separate entities? They are largely serving the same function.
I guess it doesn’t really matter though, we all know it’s just an euphemism for brown people patrol at this point.
