I know it’s better in theory than Reddit but maaaaan it’s so lonely here sometimes! So many communities are just a ghost town. It’s so bad that I (normally a lurker) am motivated enough to get out of my cave and post. We need more active text only post subs cause I’m just soo sick of news links :/ we also need more active friend making subs fr.

Honestly it’s big enough for me. I browse /all usually and theres plenty of content. I guess I can understand missing the variety of niche communities on reddit.
/all by hot is really depressing and rage inducing because it’s mostly news.
/all by new is a random mixed bag, still feels like /all by hot though
I guess I’m mostly lamenting the lack of active text based discussion communities, and friend finding ones
I have been sorting /all by active and it works decently well filtering out news.
I should create like a custom feed with text posts only and a couple of keyword filters
