Try Gochujang? It’s a little sweeter depending on the source, and more a paste then a sauce but I found myself using it in similar applications. Kinda sad the story behind Sriracha.
You’re the second person to suggest gochujang, I’ll have to look into it.

This most recent issue looks like a pepper crop failure, but I was thinking of the dispute the owner/inventor of the sauce had with his original pepper supplier a few years back.

If I remember correct, after this the relationship broke down and Underwood turned around and started selling the peppers to others and knockoffs started to proliferate.
