A few winters ago, my wife and I took edibles and then like a half hour noticed some weird movement on our porch.
It was a 13 year old who had run away from home and snuck onto our porch. She was attempting to stay warm by huddling under the dog blankets we keep out there. After a short delay (figuring out what the hell was going on), we called the police. They arrived as the edibles were hitting and we had to keep our shit together while trying to talk to the cops about this kid that randomly appeared.
At least here, there’s what I think are called “good Samaritan” laws that state no one may be charged if one is in an altered state of mind while calling about an overdose. Every example I’ve ever encountered has been specifically about an overdose, but I would think doing a good deed despite the risk would grant some leeway, from the court if not the cop.
Unless you’re in like Utah, where the church still has a fairly firm grasp on the local government, most cops really don’t give a fuck about pot any more unless you’re driving.
In a lot of jurisdictions it’s also not illegal to be under the influence of a narcotic unless there are other factors involved - driving a car, being a public nuisance, or otherwise engaging in criminal behaviour. If you’re high in your own home not bothering anyone (and you’ve already taken all the drugs you have so you’re not otherwise in possession of any) you’re not committing a crime. That would apply in this case.
Is that why schnozberries taste like schnozberries?
Yep. In a lot of places (check your local, I ain’t a lawyer) being under the influence isn’t illegal. It’s the supplemental stuff where you are either in possession or putting others at risk. But being stoned in your own home hanging out is (in most places) legal.
Who takes ALL their drugs at once?
Some of them apply to rendering aid too, so if you try to save someone’s life and fail you won’t be charged with anything.

For trying to find a runaway girl a safe place to sleep & not get sucked in to homelessness or worse? The police may not be the best option, depending on who comes out & where they live, but arguably better than nothing. You can’t second guess why they ran away, but shitting on someone for trying to help with a single word response…good job keyboard warrior.

i don’t know what your comment was, but from context, i surmise that i agree
Doesn’t want the brave public servants of his majesty’s constabulary to contract her communicable conjunctivitis. Very thoughtful, really.
Yes genuinely is that what the post is about? I thought the post was about that, too
Edit: I am a 🟥
Please help understand. Am dumb; do not get
her eyes are red from smoking the marijuana, and hiding it from the cops behind her.
I’m so American I thought she’d been pepper sprayed and her eyes were still red while in custody
I’m so American it’s not a crime to smoke it where I live.
I’m so Canadian I thought where’s the problem
Is this not the UK where it’s decriminalized?
Decriminalized doesn’t mean legal.
And can a cop (legally) arrest you if you’re just high and aren’t actively doing the drug and not breaking any other laws?
In Sweden they can (and do). The police here take about 55 000 blood and urine samples per year for drug use convictions. It’s awful.
Idk
It’s effectively decriminalized everywhere but when marijuana junkies get all hopped up on the devil’s lettuce they get paranoid and murdery.
I remember the last time I got all hopped up on some sinner’s spinach. Man did I do some violence… I went out a straight murked some (pani) popos and a bunch of innocent crackers. I really gotta start limiting my starch intake.
It’s waaay safer than alcohol especially in smoked straight off the plant non GMO strength weed but yeah a processed 200-300mg strength edible can absolutely cause psychosis in the wrong person (it’s funny, one of my old psychiatrists actually said something to the effect of 'they’re breeding the weed waaay stronger than what my generation was smoking in college…). I’ve had a looot of schiz spectrum patients who just can’t admit that weed or especially edibles are a problem for them and causing their psychosis keep winding up in the hospital.

According to TinEye, this image was from at least 2019, and I don’t think it was decriminalized back then? Wikipedia has some info from a few years earlier where they cite a survey saying a majority of all police recorded drug offences in the UK were for possession of cannabis.
The cop farted so hard, it made her eyes red.
She’s high and doesn’t want the cop to notice.
We kind of needed that reference. Didnt know that was supposed to be a cop. I’m from America so.
Eyes redder than the devil’s dick

There’s something “it’s always sunny in Philadelphia” do right and is the make up when they’re high or drunk on wine. A lot of series have scenes where the characters are high but never give them red eyes
Are the red eyes just from smoking? I take edibles all the time, but my eyes are never red from it
Dry eyes are a common side effect of THC, especially larger doses. This is the main reason people have red eyes and squint when high. The smoke may also cause irritation making it worse.
Me, 30 years ago driving in Banff high as fuck in the middle of the night (long story):
Cop pulls me over for rolling through a stop sign. “Have you been drinking?”
Me: “Drinking? No.”
Wife in passenger seat: “Ffffffff…!”
I thought that was Greta Thunberg for a second
Is that the UK? I haven’t been either
I havent
Post with the mos upvoed anecdotes. Thank you 😁😊😅
