My husband and I have spend an embarrassingly high amount of money here the last few years.

How hard is it to just not be an awful person? What kind of adult causes this to happen to someone and then laughs about it? What the fuck at the police response?

I guess a quick edit since MySanAtonio did not allow for a quick summery.

A disabled vet that was carrying his medical paperwork attempted to use the restroom at Serious Pizza in Deep Ellum. The off-duty cops working security refused to look at the paperwork. Texas apparently has a law for this specific instance, though it is kind of fucked up that is even necessary in the first place. The vet ended up soiling himself. He had called the cops because he knows the law, but they didn’t make it in time. When the cops did show up, they all laughed at the vet.

I haven’t been to Deep Ell since the 90s, but back then it was constantly full of drunk people (well, it was every time I went, maybe not constantly) so maybe it’s an extension of that.

Those were the good ole days. These days it feels like Highland Park is trying to out the riffraff.

Deep Ellum is known to get a little rowdy that late at night. I wouldn’t say it is out of the ordinary for the area.
