The 6yo DM thing is a running thing he’s been doing with his kid. Calling him the DM in this context was just continuing the thing.

There is literally zero evidence or suggestion that he likely fucks. Being built fully functional doesn’t mean much when asexual people are also built fully functional
-
How is that evidence he fucks?

He ‘hit that’ Security Officer, Tasha Yar, while under the effects of a space anomaly that compromised his thought process
-
He does have a girlfriend but it ends when she realizes he can’t reflect the same feelings back to her that she has for him.
-
His daughter was constructed via asexual reproduction

Yeah, same here. I think it used to help more but I dunno what’s going on now. Granted I haven’t changed the filter in like a year, that probably ain’t helping.

“Requesting docking permissions, Captain”
Chooses not to. He’s a dick.
They’re all pretty great and mostly focused on telling Karens to go fuck themselves.

23·6 months agoI have no idea who that nobody is and I’ll keep it that way. I don’t need yet another in a long list of whiny Youtubers popping up on my feed bemoaning anything that isn’t identical to what came before it.

Starfleet Headquarters@lemmy.dbzer0.com•"Divisive" Star Trek: Starfleet Academy Canceled After Two Seasons
620·6 months agoIt was critically loved. It hit basically every hallmark of Trek across the board, and then some, but of course the whiners had to be louder than anything else and run a review bombing campaign of the series. I’ve not actually heard any complaints about the show from people that weren’t like yours. Just “Meh, not for me.” The most I’d hear is slight complaints about voices and stuff, but never anything like people would say about Enterprise back in the day or Discovery more recently.
I wish they, the people who have whined and not added a single thing to any sort of conversation about Star Trek, would just fuck off out of the community. They just keep screaming about how things aren’t exactly the same as TNG/DS9/VOY. They have no value to any conversation because the arguments they push are the same ones Boomers push for anything new in the world. They don’t have any leg to stand on in claiming that the show isn’t hopeful or isn’t Trek when it’s just a failure on them for basic media comprehension. That or because how dare they be diverse.
You didn’t do this, but I am genuinely staggered with how many people have been saying how sad they are that Trek is clearly going to be put into a deep freeze when they were the ones who helped put it there by screaming about every single thing released since Enterprise not being identical to a show released, and they really need to start realizing this, 39 fucking years ago. TV has changed. The message of Star Trek hasn’t but TV itself has. Get with it or fuck off.
Edit: Clarity. If you still have a problem with this then I don’t really care what you think.
Can I marry a dragon
You’re clearly just here to antagonize. Not interested.
I’m pretty sure you’re the one who needs to reflect here. It’s not supportive to say “Include the abuser”.
I am chill. I just don’t like people disrespecting the queer community.
It doesn’t do that. The + is for all sexualities other than straight because straight people have literally the rest of the planet. We have nothing. We have created our own community in order to bond in that regard because we’ve been pushed out of everywhere else or have our lives threatened. An ally is an ally by not being part of the community but supporting it. So Straight people cannot call themselves an Ally at the same time as claiming they’re part of the community. And it’s not called the -S community because it isn’t about them.
I’m not getting upset at “some random comment” I’m pointing out that it’s literally indicative of the problem pointed out in the post.
This is not lovely or misguided. It’s extreme arrogance. “Hi, I know that you’ve had to make a community because specifically of the behavior of cishet people but now you’ve gotta let us in.” No. We really don’t. Moreover, putting the S at the beginning just goes to show how less important we are in comparison to them. The acronym has been around for a while and the L is always at the beginning because of how lesbians were among the few willing to treat gay men during the AIDS crisis.
Insisting that you be allowed into a group that was created due to the hatred from your own group is insanity. Demanding that you be given an honorific goes to show that nothing was learned and the community must remain without cishet peoples involvement. Especially when the insistence of adding an S to the LGBTQ+ acronym means that the acronym just stands for the entirety of the human race, therefore nullifying the existence of our community.
You say that it’s misguided but lovely but that ‘only queer’ people could be angry about it. If you’re not a queer person yourself then you have literally no right to a say in our response.

I think you mean The Blacklist <3
