Turns out oxygen is actually really bad to have around.

Games@lemmy.world•What's your opinion on post-game content? do you do it? or are you done with the game when the credits roll?English
4·9 days agoThe solution to the puzzles are extremely clever and you’re given just enough hints to be able to solve them, but this game demands your attention and every bit of your concentration to be able to fit it all together. The payoff is massive though, the final 30-40 minutes is one of the most memorable and emotional moments I have ever had playing video games.

3·9 days agoOuter Wilds, for example, is a game you can only play once.
That has not stopped me from downloading a randomizer mod to squeeze more hours out of it.

12·10 days agoPaywalled article.
I take it this has to do with available transit options and how easy it is to get to work/shopping. If your area is entirely dependent on cars, of course you can’t go car-free for 3 weeks.
More Gator Days on Lemmy please. I’d love if the author posted here directly.

2·18 days agoMatrix does seem like it would require its own dedicated mod team, but iirc there is an automod to help with the really obvious violations.
Repacks for me have been very hit or miss with Wine, but the issues usually start from the installer and not the game itself.
Just one more drive bro. Please one just one more

Selfhosted@lemmy.world•What us the best way to add remote access to my servers?English
6·1 month agoFor remote management, I just enable SSH, configure it to run on some non-standard port and enable Fail2ban… Make sure I use certificates or secure passwords and also check if fail2ban is actually doing its job. Never had any issues with that setup.
This is what I’ve done for years, but I sometimes feel like it’s not a great solution from a security standpoint.
Though I have switched from fail2ban to Crowdsec, which did end up banning my own connection attempts when I forgot to whitelist myself, so that seems secure enough.
Hello from 2 years ago. I’ve been using Actual Budget as a YNAB alternative for a while. It’s based off of YNAB4 which admittedly I’ve don’t have any experience with, but the UI is quite a bit of a step down from the current version of YNAB. As long as you’re able to get over that then it’s a very capable piece of software.

Fuck Cars@lemmy.world•What are the most noisy electric cars that you know?English
2·1 month agoI live right on the corner of a 50km/h collector street and the noise is terribly distracting. Not counting any of the souped up racing bikes or modded straight piped track cars that zip past, from my back yard you can hear the road noise from the traffic coming well before it actually arrives.

Fuck Cars@lemmy.world•What are the most noisy electric cars that you know?English
3·1 month agoOK but it’s up to the owner to decide on what tires they want on their car. These same quiet tires can be put onto an ICE car, and the same cheap and loud all seasons you get at the corner tire shop can go on an EV. I live in a winter city and you better believe if I owned an EV it would be wearing studded tires which are obnoxiously loud regardless of the engine.
Can’t we agree that cars are loud and it would be better to get them out of our cities so we can walk and bike in peace?

Normally I fully agree with this sentiment whenever it comes up, but here I’m not so sure. I absolutely loathe talking about myself to anybody unless we’re already on a specific topic I’m interested in.
