If Canada Post started to meaningfully compete in the parcel space I would not want to see tax dollars being used to subsidize Amazon deliveries.
Canada Post seems to have provided meaningful offers on most of the issues, I don’t know what the problem is in giving the Union 2 more weeks to review and discuss the offer beyond using it a negotiating leverage to pressure them into accepting.
Although none of this seems to address how the organization will be sustainable unless weekend deliveries is suppose to be that substantial.

Post Offices are gloriously self funding, subtract billionaire profit and bang, good to go. Good jobs, great service, fully Canadian in every nook and cranny, not a dime leaves as profit.
The Post Office is the subject of lies, attacks, conspiracies and bullshit.
It does the exact same service as FedEx but it also SERVES HOMES as if they owned rhe enterprise. Use it, demand it grow and improve.

Politicians take physical letters MUCH more seriously, and using the post to argue for the post is poetically apt.

Just 100 letters to an MP is not a lot of people but it has a very large impact on what politicians think the public wants or will accept, according to political insiders who have been honest about other things.
