Alex Jeffrey Pretti, 37.
No criminal history. A lawful gun owner with a valid conceal carry permit.

I haven’t commented on any of the content of this story until now.

Pay very close attention the the ‘agent’ wearing the grey coat, with his back to the camera before he turns around and walks towards it holding a gun.

He goes in hands empty, retrieves the gun from the suspects waistband, at the small of his back, and leaves before the first shot is fired.

Every shot was fired, by federal agents, at an unarmed individual. Plain murder.

Dude was getting curb stomped and head smashed in by a blunt object before the shooting…  So my question is simple…  If a gang of masked men, who outnumber you 7:1, and are literally smashing your head in with “non-lethal” crowd management devices and causing life altering injuries while you are pinned down under thread of death, why wouldn’t self defence be justified?  I’m not saying the gun was his, or that he had control of it, or that he even fired it, but I am saying if ICE is doing this to people why shouldn’t they defend themselves.  Black Panthers just got some recruiting.  Arm yourselves and openly carry. It’s your right so use it.

Let’s go further than that. If you know that you will be killed if you don’t resist, and you will certainly be killed if you resist while they’ve already started… maybe you shouldn’t lie down and not resist, and you definitely shouldn’t let them start in the first place.

Sigh… A one day protest on a Saturday where the vast majority of participants either already had the day off or requested it from their employer is in no way a strike. It’s a large protest and an important event, but it’s just not a strike.

It’s like the actual concept of a strike is being erased from the public consciousness. Strikes don’t have a fixed duration, they have a list of demands, and the strike goes on until those demands are met or the strikers capitulate.

A bunch of Minnesotans taking a day off work to protest sends a strong message and mildly inconveniences businesses.

A bunch of Minnesotans saying “we’re not going back to work until ICE is out of our state” is what an actual general strike would look like. It would be hugely powerful if strikers held fast, but it would also be incredibly hard to organize and pull off, because you’re basically asking large numbers of people to be willing to get fired.

I’m not trying to downplay what’s going on in Minnesota - it’s good and important, but it saddens me to see people calling this a general strike. A general strike is the ultimate weapon of the working class. Calling a mass protest a general strike feels like saying “this is the best we can do,” and it absolutely is not.

America has successfully villified unions for decades, it would not surprise me one bit if they have also systematically erased any education about actual strikes as part of the already well-documented gutting of general education and overall indoctrination the American right has performed on the population.

Over half the country is paralyzed by frigid temps and storms this weekend. It is not the statement you are expecting. A general No-BUY that lasts for months may help but honestly, there are many that just don’t have that discipline. Even last year, during winter, we had lackluster engagement. I mean I am over 60 and can’t risk falling on icy sidewalks. First off, let’s see what we can do to protect the integrity of homes (barred windows, double deadbolt locks on all egresses) Even boarding up windows with wood/locked shutters) in order to prevent home invasions. Locked fences. You know… make those MFers work for it. We can be “Meals on Wheels” to deliver nutrition. Provide families with loyal fierce pets that will alert them to anyone crossing their property. Distribute gas masks, goggles. Put up cameras that are not controlled by some tech collaborator. Esp. cameras that keep the footage inside.

I agree a prolonged and universal strike is needed. Have you taken steps to help organize locally where you are? If not I’m very happy to provide you resources and if possible put you in contact with organizers local to your area.

I don’t think concerted violence here in America will do anything except to empower the executive branch to invoke the insurrection act and declare marshall law.

First off, a change of venue, away from the people earning 5 and 6 figure wages, and toward those earning at least high 7-figures. These ICE clowns aren’t the problem; the problem is the bastards sending them.

Let obscenely rich people know they are going to take the heat anywhere ICE shows up, and watch how quickly ICE is disbanded.

          They can start here.

Jared Golden already announced he’s not running for re-election, and it’s not because he knows he’ll get primaried. He’s always been Republican-lite, voting for basically everything they wanted even though he’s technically a Democrat, so I assume he’s on his way around the iron triangle now that he’s proved his worth to his owners.

    From my understanding:

    1. Like 6 ICE thugs were beating up this one guy

    2. The guy was trying to reach for the mace bottle first and a thug kicked it away.

    3. A single shot went off but it’s too hard to tell where it came from

    4. Two ICE thugs fired a bunch of rounds into the guy as others backed away and he died

We really need that pink lady’s video I think. If the protestor fired first, then we’re looking at the question of justified defense against ICE (which they’ll obviously rule with ICE that it was a legal murder). If an ICE agent fired first, then it’s straight up murder first degree.

edit: I’ve seen three other views, and the ICE thug in the grey sweater pulled the protestor’s away first, then the ICE thug in green pulled out his gun, a shot went off (I think from this guy), then the other ICE thugs got scared and started blindly shooting. This was a straight up murder.

The green sweater guy draws his gun, fires at point blank range, the victim doesn’t immediately register being shot and is still pushing back against all of them beating him, then the others hear the shot and get scared then assassinate him. There are about 3 or 4 other views now online.

There’s a guy on the left beating the victim, potentially in the head, with what looks like a capsicum spray bottle. There’s a guy kneeling to his right who reaches for his right pocket and then, with his right arm, reaches towards the victim who is starting to get up before he suddenly jerks back as a shot rings out.

In my opinion, I think that man shot the victim point blank, potentially in the chest, and this is the first shot.

Either way, this is an execution, without question. That poor ICU nurse.

Edit: i watched the link coat woman’s video for a while, and i think the first shot (whoever it was by) was done in response to an agent accidentally falling over a little. They were on their knees, tried to get up, but as the victim struggled to get up, he accidentally shoved that agent a bit. Immediately after, the shot rings out.

Thank you, this is the first video I’ve seen of the start of the interaction. It’s a little hard to tell, but it doesn’t look like the victim ever drew his gun. Bovino claimed in a press conference that ICE believed he had threatened ICE with his gun, which I’m currently doubting.

There’s another video that shows a man in a tan jacket standing up from and walking away from the dogpile immediately before the first shot. He has a pistol with a holographic sight mounted on the slide, pointed at the ground. This appears to be the victim’s pistol.

It is the 15MB file, starting with AA67, in this Proton Drive

It appears that this officer disarmed the victim, then discharged the victim’s weapon into the pavement. This appears to be the first round fired.

So they took his gun and executed him with his own gun?

Edit: okay, it’s pretty clear that one of the thugs disarmed the victim and fired a shot into the pavement as he was leaving, and a second later the victim was brutally shot to kill by other thugs.

I bet this was all on purpose - the shot to the pavement from the victim’s gun was so they could claim the victim fired the first shot and killing him was in self defense.

I highly doubt it was intentional. That would require a certain degree of competence that is entirely lacking here. From the agent’s initial and unecessary provocation, to the escalation with pepper spray, to the vicious attack on a compliant subject, there is no evidence of competency here. That the officer handling the victim’s weapon lacked the most basic weapons handling skills seems on par.

I’m not really seeing your point. Why is competence a prerequisite for premeditated murder? Especially since they actually fucked up and got caught on video.

Hanlon’s Razor. Incompetence adequately explains everything that happened here, and is, IMO, much more damaging. A competent group of conspirators can be brought under control. An incompetent group can’t help but continue fucking up, time and time again.

The latter is much more dangerous.

we get it he had a gun, but why did the gray-coat not indicate to them that he’s been disarmed? They just shouted “Gun…Gun…”, then that ill-trained trigger-happy lowlife who shot him literally pushed the grey-coat agent away before shooting him in the back. I can’t believe he did not realize that he was disarmed. There is no excuse

Every single person involved with ICE and DHS needs to be strung up on gibbets lining the national mall. We need to leave them and the gibbets there until they rot away entirely, as a long hard reminder of what happens when you allow even an ounce of fascism to thrive.

They will just keep killing people until we do.

How long until ice starts unloading full cartriges into crowds of protestors and vice-versa? This is really shaping up to be an actual civil war. Trump and his cohort was used to the politicians of democrats and not the actual people who vote for them because theres no better choice. These people will fight back. It will take one of those black panthers with a handheld cannon to be arround when something similar to this happens. Im surprised it hasnt escalated yet. I have mixed feelings about this cause i know theres no such thing as a peacefull revolution but seeing not only the innocent but even the the perpetrators die violently pains my heart. A lot of us arent idealists but we still enjoy peace, but the voilent and disgusting ruling class is forcing all of us to change and accept that violence is the solution. It was in the case of fascist italy, nazi germany and now fascist usa as well. Good luck my fellow people who just want to have a normal life but were born on the wrong side of the north atlantic.

We should not be focusing protests at these ICE fucks, and we should not be protesting in cities and working-class neighborhoods.

Every atrocity committed by the agents of this oligarchy, we need to be picketing the oligarchs.

Here’s five good places to start.

Not all, but anything related to ICE, absolutely. Ex works for census bureau, has nothing to do with ICE. Not like she can just jump ship, leave retirement, etc.

Fascism has only been defeated from the inside through communist organizations in history. Bolsheviks against the Black Hundreds and the Whites, Communist Party of China against Kuomintang, or Cuban Revolutionaries against the Batista regime. The hundred years of anticommunist propaganda in the USA have made it very difficult for communist antifascist organizations to thrive in the US, but it is not too late. Americans can still join local mutual defense orgs, communist organizations like the PSL, and local defense groups

A bunch of morons elect a convicted felon pedophile for president. He turns out to be a fascist cunt (no one was surprised outside of the USA and everyone kept telling you). And then somehow the rest of the world needs to fix your problems? Nah, we are gonna enjoy watching that shithole burn.

Trump didnt win the popular vote in 2016. He lost in 2020. Then he wins with 49% in a freak election. Opposing party has been calling him fascist from day 1. But glad you get sadistic pleasure from the suffering of innocents who had nothing to do with this fascist admin.

Well if that’s the case, I guess everything that’s happening in the USA is okay, or at least definitely not the fault of the people living there.

You did a good job by not voting for anyone and staying at home. That showed Trump that he doesn’t have the popular vote to be a fascist!

I guess it must be the fault of those pesky freeloading Europeans for not doing more.

The whole world is suffering at the hands of the president you elected and somehow the rest of the world should feel sorry for you?

Fuck off your high horse and fix your shithole, because no one can do it for you, or just shut the fuck up and enjoy the ride you created.

“B-b-buT i DiDnT vOtE fOr HiM” is what you’re gonna tell me, aren’t you?

Fyi, Hitler was never elected, yet Americunts did elect a convicted felon pedophile while the rest of the world kept telling you wtf are you doing supporting that cunt.

And then that elected cunt goes to commit war crimes, threaten to invade its allies, and creates havoc in the world economy, hurting just about every ally you have.

And you want the world to do what? Invade you to help you? You fucking elected him. Deal with him.

First of all I vote in every election, phone bank and canvassed when younger, actively protested multiple years when younger seeing fellows around me arrested en masse, and I always supported Biden/Kamala in the recent election despite myself being much more left and a Palestine supporter/believe in Israeli genocide/apartheid. I am the last person in my immediate family with no one to take care of my animals or aging peripheral relatives, and you eurocunts and rabid leftists judge me collectively with the nation unless I directly join a revolution. I was born into this with no consent in my choice of government and inceedibly limited influence and I will proudly flee than throw my life away and have my last moments be bleeding out alone. I will still speak out freely, and always defend myself and innocents around me best I can, but no one should be forced to be a martyr. Your collective judgment against all of us shows how immature you still are thinking. The USA is huge and more like a collective of smaller countries and it’s insane to compare us morally responsible akin to electing Hitler when it’s so obvious where and who is voting for this Christo-fascist nightmare. Rust belt, bible belt, deep south racist neo-confederates. But yeah keep spewing your vindictive accusatory garbage at me I’m sure it’s super helpful.

I read that Minnesota has the highest rate of registered voters who vote in every election. This is probably why they are targeted.

Voter registration was highest in Minnesota at 83.6% https://usafacts.org/articles/how-many-voters-have-a-party-affiliation/

Interestingly, more Minnesotans are registered Republican than Democrat or Independent. So… I wonder how this little Nazi Brownshirt brutalism bit is playing on the denizens registered Republican?

nope, and surprisingly not in the rich districts, like NYC or norcal.wish they hit schumers and JEFFERIES district. also because zohran already met with trump , and billionaires in the bay area already warned him ahead of time.

i think hes hitting tim’s state hard because he is stepping down for the race next election, as he should.
