As long as you don’t call your pit a “velvet hippo,” like that one weird Reddit sub. Almost as bad as calling a dog a fur baby.

Statistically, they’re the most dangerous dog breed in the US, IIRC. They’re disproportionately responsible for serious dog-caused injuries.

Of course, everyone’s own dog is an exception… Until it’s not.

Statistically black people have a higher crime rate. Who’s recording the stats? Get out of here with your cherry picking.

          Lmao, what??

Are you making a joke in incredibly poor taste? Or is this because of a lack of understanding about statistics? …or are you just racist?

Maybe you’re trying to imply that pitbulls are victims of decades and decades of systemic racism and intergenerational trauma?.. because that would be a hard argument to justify.

Pitbulls were bred to fight large animals, and later to fight each other. So there is a clear and obvious reason why they would be disproportionately dangerous compared to other breeds.

The stats are not cherry picked. They’re overwhelming. Cherry picking is searching for “pitbull attacks” and saying “look how often it happens!”. But the statistics show that pitbulls are disproportionately responsible for both attacks and human deaths from dog bites.. Yet, they are far from being the most numerous breed of dog in the US.
