LOL, imagine wasting the FBIs time with spicy chat logs.
His reaction on hearing the news:
How can you smile but not smile at the same time?
A regular smile is shown a lot in the eyes. The eyes are dead and hollow in this picture
It’s always so sad, yet predictable, when people that get famous become drunk with power and make poor life choices that hurt others. If put to good use, the power these people wield could do so much good.
This world needs more people like Mr. Rogers, Steve Wozniak, and Keanu Reeves. Not this shit.
I think in MrBeast’s case, he got big precisely because he was willing to hurt and manipulate others, not that he changed once he made it. He seems like a grade A PoS.
The thing I’m most surprised about is that it took so long for the cracks to show.
You should never judge the book by its cover, but god those thumbnails always made me very suspicious of him
It’s his eyes and smile. He looks absolutely dead inside, nothing genuine about him.
and Keanu Reeves
Unfortunately, not him either. He’s such a big fan of the bigot Graham Hancock that he’s involved in Hancock’s Netflix series.
And you don’t have to believe me about Hancock. There are indigenous Americans that are happy to tell you all about it.
The description for the Secrets of the Ancients program listed on the Chaco filming permit application said the program would explore “one of archaeology’s biggest mysteries: the peopling of the Americas”.
It went on to state: “We’ll uncover the latest findings about the earliest inhabitants of the Americas and reveal remarkable scientific knowledge that’s been handed down for generations. Where did humans settle first in the Americas, and what do we know about them?”
Hancock, who is not an archeologist, has attracted the ire of those in the profession, as well as Native groups, for pushing a theory that an advanced ice age society, responsible for modern understandings of maths, architecture and agriculture, was wiped out by floods triggered by comet strikes nearly 12,000 years ago.
Evidence of this is found at ancient sites around the world, Hancock claims, with the writer visiting such places in countries including Turkey, Mexico and Indonesia in the first season of the Netflix show, aired in 2022. During the show, which Netflix promoted with the tagline “What if everything we know about prehistoric humans is wrong?”, Hancock railed against “mainstream archaeology” for not accepting his theories.
“[Hancock] presents his theories as being superior to what the first inhabitants of the area say about their own history,” said Stewart Koyiyumptewa, tribal historic preservation officer for the Hopi Nation.
The Hopi people have lived in or near the Grand Canyon for at least 2,000 years and claim a sacred site inside the canyon as their place of emergence. They also have strong ties to Chaco Canyon.
A Grand Canyon national park staff member who is Native American also pushed back against issuing a permit to ITN.
“This is embarrassing and a discredit to our agency when we have been working hard to respect Indigenous people and right many historical wrongs,” wrote the staff member in an email to Grand Canyon park management. “This is just degrading.”

Pseudo-Scientific Documentaries of that kind has made me cancel my Netflix subscription over two years ago.
It’s a shame what they sell us as facts.
Why? Ancient apocalypse is a blast to watch.
Granted you have to watch it for the entertainment, god forbid you take stuff like that seriously - but it is very fun!
Always remember: No one is immune to propaganda
Moonie’s video on that is a great watch
You either die a hero or live long enough to start making bad decisions. And Keanu is hundreds of years old.
I was a big fan but unfortunately this is all true and can be verified. Very sad
I understand your stance but compared to Mr. Beast, not the same comparison. Mr. Rogers, Steve Erwin, and Levar Burton (should always be included) I would listen to their input on helping everyone. They are smart and good.
Keanu and maybe Woody Harrison are more of good people that you don’t hear horrible stuff about that are universally famous.
No kid touching, woman abusing, racist rants, or Nazi praising episodes. Morgan Freemen and Bill Cosby use to be that way but over time it started to crack. Even Dave Grohl has fallen from the list. Of course these examples are not a 1:1.
The second group, like I said, is more good not smart. They have flaws but are universal good people. Ross was a great person but horrible judgment in some people. Look at his son’s battle for his family name.
Keanu and maybe Woody Harrison are more of good people that you don’t hear horrible stuff about that are universally famous.
If you’re talking about Woody Harrelson, he “doesn’t believe in germ theory” and once circulated a web post that said COVID was spread by 5G. source
Harrison is a all natural, holistic person. His wife owns a company that sells stuff like that. However, you never heard about him harassing people or going on a racist rant. That is my point. No one is looking to Harrison for advice. Just like I’m not looking to Keanu for advice.
I’ll give you an example. Bill Murray was considered a great guy. Would randomly show up at people’s wedding when invited, still has a answering machine, and seemed like a real life goof ball. Then the reports of his interaction with Lucy Liu came out. Then reports of him abusing people on set. His image is one of an abusive asshole on set.
If you tell me you get your political views or any advice from him, I would laugh in your face. Not bc of everything I just said but bc he doesn’t seem like a smart person. He seems like the class clown that smokes to much weed.
Obviously Hancock is a crackpot but saying that he offends other people with equally falsified theories is not exactly strong criticism…
How about this, then?
IMO that’s basically white supremacy. The most generous possible thing you could say is that Hancock is too stupid to recognize racist bullshit when he sees it in terms of things like Quetzalcoatl being a white man (utter bullshit) but I don’t think he’s that stupid.
Wait, you think Hancock came up with Quetzalcoatl being a white bearded man? XD
No. I think he perpetuates that racism.
Here is Quetzalcoatl (and not in his usual winged serpent form) from the pre-Spanish Maya. Does he look like a white man to you or a local indigenous person? Don’t you think if Hancock didn’t want to just perpetuate racist bullshit he could have just looked that up himself, what with being a journalist and all?
But that’s just one image, right? And no color! I’m sure after the Spanish came and had them draw him…
Oh.
I thought journalists were supposed to do research.
Of course, if you’re a journalist who wishes to perpetuate racism…
Hancock is a con man plain and simple but what part of that makes this more acceptable?
The Hopi people have lived in or near the Grand Canyon for at least 2,000 years and claim a sacred site inside the canyon as their place of emergence.
The fact that it’s an indigenous folk belief and not just some crazy guy’s white savior ideas?
So it’s bullshit, which granted it is pretty harmless, but it’s still bullshit when discussing the origins of people.
It doesn’t deserve to be repeated in an article about someone denying science. That claim also denies science (and common sense).
The bigger issue is Hancock’s idea of indigenous people worshiping a white savior. Check out the excerpts from his book I pasted.
He’s a bigot for having his own Lil theory about settlers from 12,000 years ago?
Nobody knows what’s going in inside that melon except him, but it really does reek of the old mindset of colonials “discovering” lands where people had been living already for millennia, and assuming they’re too dumb to be worth considering. Or even making a spectacle of them like they’re some sort of animal.
Even if it’s not intentionally malicious, that sort of disregard has some amount of bigotry attached.
There were colonials 12,000 years ago?
Please read the excerpts from his book I pasted below. He thinks indigenous Americans worshiped white saviors.
Mate you find a problem with everything, take up whittling or something for the sake of your mental health. Nobody’s perfect, as the saying goes.
“Nobody’s perfect” is quite an interesting excuse for bigotry.
Is that how you’re also not “perfect?”
Probably, amongst a million other things.
Weird. Somehow I can be both imperfect and not a bigot. In fact, lots of people can.
Weird how that works.
I still think you should try whittling!
Why? Does whittling stop you from saying things that are bigoted?
Because I don’t need that.
According to the first video made by the youtuber dogpack404, he had been doing bad things from the begging
If you want to find out what a man is to the bottom, give him power. Any man can stand adversity — only a great man can stand prosperity.
-Robert G. Ingersoll
He has been exposed for months now and literally nothing came of it. I don’t see how “tHe fBi” would suddenly give a crap, given also that what it’s show in the logs is just a bunch of offensive memes and shit…
So this comes across as someome else trying to get attention and moral points from this…
If you actually want to do the right thing get off those toxic platforms and follow better creators elsewhere. Block ads too, they should not get a penny out of you.
This shit takes time
Did you read through the chat? I don’t think there’s anything damning there. It was 7 minutes of video swiping through an immature telegram group chat from 2019.
Basketball my place, Don’t do it he f**** cheats, I don’t cheat Y’all are a bunch of. *******. (Pic of a cartoon with a dick on it). Two comments about somebody leaving a bad comment on their video (another cartoon with a dick on it) who wants to play risk, Don’t do it he ******* cheats
He obviously fucked over a lot of emergency services and there’s nobody there that can manage a fucking production to save their lives. But in the end it’s just a bunch of Bros talking trash and drawing dicks on things, while it’s rather poor taste for a production company that has a lot of kids watching it, The bullshit in the chat doesn’t seem to come out in the videos.
Now if Tyler was actually grooming a minor back in the day there might be something there but the chats just raunchy bullshit nothing really criminal there
I haven’t paid attention honestly. Just saying things take time to investigate properly
With the FBI I guess, but then youtube didn’t do shit, nor his sponsors. It’s all business as usual with mr. beast. Usually platforms are quick to act on these things. It shows they don’t give 2 shits as long as the money flows in.
This Rosanna character is also disgusting because she’s milking all of this for sweet money. I just checked and she has posted regularly about mr beast these past months, and all of those videos are monetized. So yeah, all in all just more shit. I don’t think give a shit either.
The only way to win is to not make their wallets bigger.

I don’t really know who the fuck this is, apart from being some YouTuber for kids. Probably plays Fortnite.

Is “discussing inappropriate topics” a crime now? I skimmed the video, but most of just looked like the usual adolescent 4chan stuff. Racist stuff in there? Sure. But we’ve got a presidential candidate who declared that immigrants “poison the blood” of America. A couple of memes from a flash-in-the-pan “celebrity” hardly seems worthy of the FBI’s time…
As far as I can tell most of the paedo/grooming allegations are about one of his staff members. Is this story really about them and they’ve just slapped MrBeast in the headline for clicks?
Beast is charity exploitation porn. One of those people that does “good deeds” and then plasters himself all over the good deed while recording the people he is helping, demonstrating how great a thing he is doing, while simultaneously stuffing his pockets as fast as he can with cash. He’s supposedly a billionaire to give you an idea of where his priorities are.
The problem here is how you present your opinion and thoughts as fact. I even agree with your opinion, but I don’t really care that he does it. I’m sure he is exploiting people to profit for himself, but at least he’s giving people things.
There’s a lot worse out there to dedicate care and energy to.
MrBeast’s ‘charity porn’ shows the morally complicated reality of YouTube philanthropy
I’m presenting more than just my opinion. I’m not interested in debating whether or not the relatively minor charity he does is worth it because he isn’t a charity. He’s a self-promoter, no different than a Joel Osteen, who profits off the idea that he does good. Does Osteen do some good? Sure! But the primary interest is enriching himself by exploiting others. Osteen exploits faith and desire to buy good deeds for a path to heaven for his viewers. Beast does the same vicariously for wannabe influencers and fame-seekers. Don’t you want to be rich enough to be famous and have people fawn over your deeds? A materialist’s heaven.
Yeah you missed my point. I don’t care, I’d hate to be him, I’m not materialistic by any means.
I’m just saying, there’s genocides and invasions going on all over the world, Mr Beasts misdeeds are not worth talking about.
And on that note, good bye
He might exploit people, he might even let people be sexually assaulted at his shows, the shit he does might even be super fake, but at least he kinda does it for charity but not really.
Not that I’m a fan, but he is literally the biggest channel on youtube. So it might be interesting to read up on him
He run hundreds of illegal lotteries and will eventually get jail time.
“Best I can do is a fine no max of 5% of what he got” -US legal system.

Why am I the only person to have no fucking clue who this is?
Everything I know about MrBeast I have learned involuntarily…
there’s a good chance you are over the age of 15
You are correct
Grumbles in elder millennial: I’m quite annoyed that we’re in the era of some youtubers and streamers getting so popular that I’m forced to learn of their existence like athletes, actors, and pop music people. I was not prepared for this new reality.
Fellow millennial here and I’d say the common culture of the past that made us feel stupid for not knowing certain famous people is mostly dead. Society is so splintered in what media we consume that even my friends with very similar interests consume different games, movies, books, music, etc.
Why not Google him then? It’s what the vast majority of people that know him have had to do, because we sure as shit don’t watch his content.
Because I don’t really wanna know who he is. He sounds horrible and like he won’t be very popular in the future anyhow.
This is exactly how boomers act. “This thing I don’t understand and refuse to learn about makes me angry”
Right? Lemmy is fucking wild sometimes. I don’t know why so many people here feel the need to show off about ignorance…
I don’t know why so many people have to whine so much about an innocuous internet comment
k
The fuck are you even doing in this thread then lmao
Removed by mod
I wish I could argue with this but I really cannot.
Why post about him then? Why be publicly ignorant about someone you dislike?
Removed by mod
Through ignorance?
I’m all for hating Mr Beast, but at least know why to hate the cunt.
Removed by mod
Why respond to me? I was basically asking if I was alone and found out I’m not. Nowhere in my comment did I ask anyone to argue with me
Removed by mod
Because you aren’t browsing videos on youtube’s Trending page on the daily? MrBeast started as a gamerbros do things channel and got popular, then started becoming a cursed gameshow host (but the youtube version). He’s an antivillain, through and through. I’ve known that from the start. However, until allegations show something that’s not just edgy teenager groupchat dirt, I won’t judge further.
Is he a good guy? No. Is he the scum of society? Not yet.
I think it’s because his audience is mostly kids & teens.
One of those until-recently mouth agape YouTubers.
I wonder if the “mouth agape” Youtube phenomenon has anything to do with that pose being overly represented in AI generated images.
Removed by mod
No, you are not. I’m in the same boat. The only thing I know about him is he is a big shot youtuber. Never seen anything he’s ever done to be “famous”.
Nor do I care to. And I can’t be arsed to even read the article about him.
I saw that face on a toy thing in the supermarket. Which is odd to ve honest.
me too bruh
I think he’s the youtube guy that consumes dubious food/beverage.
that’s LA beast
and that man is a legend.
unlike this polished turd
Whichever one was second chose a poor name.
You might know of him by his food lines. Beastbars are all over the supermarkets in Germany. The marketing on the packaging didn’t really fit in with what I expect to see (he doesn’t look like a footballer or athlete) so I looked him up and learned from there.
Some people are boomers in age, some are boomers in spirit. Time comes for us all, ever in the form of “I don’t understand the kids these days”
If you think the defining characteristic of a boomer is disliking weird new culture, I think you missed a lot.
If you think the defining characteristic of a boomer is disliking weird new culture
Thank you for putting it so succinctly! It’s definitely one of the boomer characteristics, automatically hating on culture that changed from when you were a kid.
No, that’s called humanity. Boomers have a whole host of things unique to them and this ain’t it.
OK, Boomer
oh god I’m so bothered that a 15 year old doesn’t understand things
OK, boomer
In July 2024, Ava Kris Tyson, a former employee of MrBeast, left the YouTuber’s team after allegations surfaced that she had “groomed” a young fan.
Just hours later, Donaldson vowed to investigate the situation and claimed he was unaware of any prior wrongdoing. However, this new information indicates that the YouTuber may have known more than he initially let on.
“I have received thousands of messages from an official MrBeast work chat,” begins Pansino in the new YouTube video.
“These are all just their work chats from 2020 to 2021,” she revealed before also stating that she “verified the legitimacy of these chats with former MrBeast employees, and let me tell you, they are insane.”
She further noted that these leaked messages were from a Telegram channel that MrBeast used when speaking to his employees. She also included a trigger warning due to the “inappropriate topics” mentioned throughout the conversations.
Telegram
That in itself is a red flag.
Very much so.
Yikes
Right? Every time I see MrBeast’s name in the news, my reaction is always, “oh fuck, what now?”
Mine’s been more: ah of course
Never liked the guy, so it’ll be interesting what becomes of this.
Most YouTubers are the worst kinds of people to get famous, alongside Twitch streamers. They just don’t really know how to handle it, they let it all get to their head eventually and things come crashing down bit by bit once it’s inevitably revealed that they’re shit people.
Who’s next? Good Mythical Morning? PewDiePie? It’s almost like every year or other year, someone who made it big on YouTube/Twitch has a fall from grace moment.
PewDiePie controversy is like almost a decade old at this point.
PewDiePie straight up used the N word and it came way too naturally from his mouth, that was a looong time ago.
More than once even.
Ugh please not GMM.
Link will stab Chase with something, and then all of the workplace complaints will surface.
Does anybody really know how to handle fame and fortune? That kind of shit has been going on since long before MrBeast and Youtube.
Dolly Parton
I don’t watch GMM but I always got the impression that they were really good dudes who use their status to lift other people up. But maybe I’ve been fooled.
They seemed really genuine in the video they made about their religious upbringing and the regrets they had from that time
As someone who has subscribed to them off and on a few times. I know that they seem like they’re very open people who play it safe and probably could be the kind of guys you’d be buddies with. Yet I too sometimes cannot shake this lingering feeling that something at somepoint is going to blow up.
I just don’t know.
I used to watch every day. And I always just had this gut feeling that Rhett isn’t quite as chill and wholesome as he portrays.
I definitely get the vibe they’re basically done with GMM but it’s difficult to walk away from the ATM they’ve built. I still feel like they’re genuine guys who feel lucky to be where they are but they haven’t been exactly secretive about their desire to do new things.
Please just don’t let the Cart Narc have a scandal. His work is too important.
Charlie aka MoistCritical seems genuine. I guess we will see in the future.
About time this clown got exposed for who he really is. I always heard murmurs about what he is and what he does, yet they were always swept away.
Incoming Act Man video
The best way to know about a person is to listen to them. When MB came out he did an interview with that one young gay dude and Jimmy happily admitted he was a degenerate. Once he admitted that I was done with him. He’s basically a man child with a billion dollars. Where have I seen that before?
MrBeast has changed for the worse.
MrBeast is being revealed as who he always was underneath the veneer.
I have never trusted people who did philanthropy porn and I never will. It’s all self-serving.
I think it was the selfish gene that introduced me to the idea that even the most selfless altruism is still selfish, because it’s there to either further human survival or to make the person who donates feel better. The feeling better about themselves is a bigger joy than the helping
there are systems in place that know how to allocate funds better than just giving it to someone
(and yes some of these orgs are bad as well)
but imo there is a way to be altruistic and share a small percentage of your income towards and org with a good reputation (and hopefully some research was done)
which is far better than walking up to vulnerable people. sticking a camera at them and handing them bills
Especially when doing so makes you more money than you gave away.
Altruism involves real sacrifice IMO.
If the goal is human survival, then I don’t see it as selfish. In that case, the whole species is being selfish, but the individual is altruistic. Altruism does exist - evolution works on many levels, which makes many things possible. The Selfish Gene is a pretty good book that is still interesting even after all the decades, but sciece goes on and we now know much more.

I’ll be honest, I never cared for him, and it was clear to me from the start that his optimized to maximize engagement with his target demographic vs being personally authentic.
He’s revealed himself to be worse than I’d ever expected.
Isn’t his entire show about manipulating peoples behavior? He seems like a sociopath.
Welcome to pretty much every CEO…
Anyone who’s too good to be true, always is
That chat looks like a bunch of dark humor posted by teenagers. I don’t like Mr Beast, but this isn’t really illegal afaik, and I don’t care about it.
Doesn’t say anything about why the FBI would be interested.
Yeah! Why would the agency that investigates online child sex abuse be interested in chat logs that potentially contain information about online child sex abuse?
It doesn’t say that? It mentions a former employee was a groomer. But it also doesn’t mention why company chat logs would have anything to do with that.
Do you think that grooming doesn’t fall under child sex abuse? Do you think that the FBI wouldn’t be interested in logs that may show prior knowledge of this abuse and would contradict prior statements that MrBeast was unaware? Do you think if he was aware of this abuse and didn’t say anything that this wouldn’t count as covering up child sex abuse, aka being an accessory to a crime?
Didn’t say or suggest any of that…
Then what did you say? There seems to be some kind of major disconnect between you, the implications of the linked article, and why the FBI could be involved.
I would suggest looking at the videos in the tweets. It’s not clear exactly what is posted because it goes by too quickly, but you can definitely see that a lot of it is sexual and if some of it is CSAM, I wouldn’t exactly be shocked based on what I could see.
Are you seeing something treadful and I aren’t seeing? Because I’m with him, I don’t see what you’re referring to. I only see one tweet in the article, and all it says is:
I have reported what I found and my concerns to the authorities @FBI. Hopefully they will look into these MrBeast Telegram Company Chats Logs and other concerns.
I don’t see any videos, nor any clarification in the article as to what the chat logs are at all.
That’s the tweet that should’ve been in the article. I dunno why the author chose a tweet that doesn’t say anything to include in their article that also doesn’t say anything.
It was.
FYI, OP edited the link in the post, so you and I are not seeing the same article as others are. Some are seeing a Newsweek article about the story, and I think you’re seeing the Insider Gaming article that I’m also seeing, which provides basically zero details.
They never connect the dots when reading the chain of articles. If you go back through, you can find a vidcap of the telegram chat in question.
Looks like it from back in covid. It’s a bit raunchy. Honestly not unlike any chat you’ll see between a handfull of immature guys. It’s kinda hard to follow, it just scrolls by for 7 minutes, mostly memes, dicks on catoons and them bitching about people leaving them needy or critisizing comments.
If Tyson did groom an underaged kid, maybe there’s something in there damning, I didn’t see anything obvious.
Presumably to be a bureau doing investigations into alleged federal crimes and related matters.
