hello 196 plz give me ur favorite rss feeds since im getting into rss. also if u have recommendation for an rss reader or tool!
Way back when google’s rss feed shut down I switched to Newsblur. I haven’t really checked in on the competition in a long time, but newsblur has been chugging along just fine with no major updates or overhauls (which makes it unlikely to enshittify itself).
tom scotts weekly newsletter with 3 random cool videos he found that week
The newsletter url: https://www.tomscott.com/newsletter/
The RSS feed url: https://www.tomscott.com/updates.xmlGithub, gitlab, codeberg, etc. all implement rss feeds for releases and i make use of that a lot to keep track of new releases for all my favorite FOSS software.
The largest chunk of my feeds is all the youtube channels i watch though, but thats a bit too many to list rn because im lazy :3
Im personally using RSSGuard https://github.com/martinrotter/rssguard
Its pretty flexible and allows you to set up custom filter rules to remove stuff that contains certain keywords or things like that. Apart from the listed installer methods its available on flathub too if you like flatpak.I like Reeder
https://lemmy.blahaj.zone/feeds/c/onehundredninetysix.xml?sort=New
I use feeds via NextCloud to have synchronized and offline reading
I like theonion because it’s funny. I also have Hackaday because they often have interesting stuff showcased there. I also follow Torrentfreak since they regularly give updates on news related to piracy and corporate overreach.

I didn’t read ‘rss’ correctly on the first pass 😅
This is my personal website. Published with Jekyll and covers a wide range of nerdy topics. But I don’t post very often.
https://varunmehta.com/feed.xml
if you can read japanese https://scienceportal.jst.go.jp/feed/rss.xml is fun. the accompanying site is https://scienceportal.jst.go.jp/
otherwise the only one that isn’t just like youtube channels or lemmy is xkcd, but that feels like a given for any rss feed aggregate!
